Honestly man I was just reading that topic when I saw it. There's no reason to censor yourself and delete it if that's what you feel. Freedom of speech shouldn't be limited. Free speech is controversial by nature, it is not your problem how people are going to react to it. There's no need to get over myself. I live a real life and thus deal with assholes on a daily basis. I know how to deal with these types of conversations. I just enjoy it as much as possible.

I would suggest to all of the rational thinkers that have been posting on this thread - stop! I know it is fun to giggle at the crazy unsupported theories that people come up with. However, it is a tremendous waste of time trying to convince those that do not engage in a logical and rational though process.
In my state the further from town you go the less and less the towns place ordinances on what you can and can not do. Almost any rural area places little to no restriction on any construction, usually when something requires plumbing you have to build to code and have a permit, but that's obvious public safety stuff. If there are powers at be using suggestion to get people to be sustainably minded without legal regulation and mandates, that's a win in my book any day. The fact is the way we do things is broken. There won't be any redistribution of wealth from America elsewhere that's misusing our currency as a commodity instead of a means of exchange for goods and services and there is a difference. There are empty properties because it is dirt cheap to put out loans right now, and build these buildings. We're living in the depression caused by mismanaged financial products, and meta economic experiments, so the federal reserve has set interest rates low. Banks would shuffle together these securities and amalgamation of this magic new mortgage products (real estate having that gold feeling of inherent value) with a mixture of great, good and awful loans that on its head would always make money. As long as property values keep going up. to paraphrase, when the banks started to run out of places to shuffle the sub prime mortgages, I.e. they effectively couldn't find a buyer at the asking price, the price stopped, everyone stopped, and then everyone frantically tried to sell these mortgages and the price plummeted almost instantaneously, and an incalculable amount of our money went with it. Now stay with me, after they gambled away our money at the wall st casino, we gave them money to stay in business, so they were able to have money to give to us. These are institutions that can ledger money into existence and charge us interest on its creation, and through personal greed (because it was individual traders making high risk decisions with other peoples money) millions lost their 401ks and other retirement plans. Its a tragedy on a scale we haven't seen since the 20s, which I haven't seen.
