Like the title says I need tattoo ideas, I want something that represents infinity and eternity. I think might have already found what tattoo I want for that. the other tattoo I want is something that represents the delicate balance in the universe, the rise and fall or yin and yang one could say. My main concern is that I want it nicely compliment the tattoo above. Any suggestions?
That's a Masonic hand grip right there in that picture Pretty cool, though
Nothing wrong with the masons lol
I agree. By way of association, it's also a Mormon hand grip. I just really had nothing else to add
Dang I need suggestions bad. I was thinking about getting that infinity symbol overlaying yin and yang
I would recommend the Endless Knot. Here is a list of its meanings - which I think pretty much encompasses everything you described wanting. It has so many different meanings because it spans so many different cultures - the celtic infinity knot, for example, is common in much of their art and symbolized the intertwined nature of reality and perception, among other things. The great part about it is it can be drawn a million different ways. The basic symbol is always there, but it varies. Heres a link to a image search: Eternal Love and Friendship The Endless knot iconography symbolised Samsara i.e., the endless cycle of suffering or birth, death and rebirth within Tibetan Buddhism. The inter-twining of wisdom and compassion. Interplay and interaction of the opposing forces in the dualistic world of manifestation, leading to their union, and ultimately to harmony in the universe. The mutual dependence of religious doctrine and secular affairs. The union of wisdom and method. The inseparability of emptiness (shunyata) and dependent origination, the underlying reality of existence. Symbolic of knot symbolism in linking ancestors and omnipresence and the magical ritual and meta-process of binding[disambiguation needed] (refer etymology of Tantra, Yoga and religion) (see Namkha.) Since the knot has no beginning or end it also symbolizes the wisdom of the Buddha.
Yes, I can offer you not one, and at once there are a lot of ideas. In general, that you conceived, perfectly. There is article in which tattoos infinity and their values are described
Well..it's a bit scary with these hands. But the idea is very very nice. I looked for some infinity tattoo's meaning and examples lately http://inkprofy.com/infinity-tattoo-designs/. I think it has really good symbolism - "freedom", "friendship" and "striving for perfection"..Sounds great
