I hope you know your putting your dog in danger. All it takes is for the cops to do a raid and your pit to start to looking vicious and pop there goes your dog you just lost a member of the family. I only say this cause im an animal lover and would hate to hear something happen to your dog.
I actually have a friend who's pit bull got killed because of exactly that The police raided his house the dog didn't even run after the cops just went up and barked and the cops shot him in the head He said he tried to yell to the cops that he would grab the dog to wait a minute and not to shoot the dog that it was a good dog and wouldn't just bite them but they didn't hesitate for a second
Yeah see that shit is fucked. Id lose it and charge the cops if that ever happened or at least get the cop after I'm out of jail that might as well be one of my children you killed. You raise, feed them, play with them talk to them everything just for the cops to come in and cap a good dog for no reason and they don't even get questioned about. The fool before has got it right, we cant touch your fucking dog. If I got a German Shepard ripping my arm off better believe I'm gonna pop that dog right in throat. as long as no one sees it and he doesn't die your, dogs can't speak last time I checked. I always wondered if you had little dogs and they charged the cops if they would cap them or use there thought process and nug the dog aside.
^ ya, and then they'll kill you. Welcome to America 2013. Personally I wouldn't want a big fake camera outside my house. I'd get re-inforced windows and doors first. I'm on the fence with the whole unwanted attention thing. Mostly I just feel like it's kind of paranoid and sticks out, even though nowadays I'd say it's pretty commonly accepted.
I think the best security lies in part obscurity and part security. The basic rules and stuff i use on my grow are: - Don't tell anyone, ever! - Browse this forum via the same proxy i use for tormenting and stuff. - Don't take photos of my girls and keep them on my phone. - Got the house tidied up so it looks like every other on the estate, no better, no less. - Make sure i'm a decent neighbour and upset nobody. - Make sure my house, front and back gardens are locked up too. Security lights front and back too. - A dummy alarm box on the front, i chose a dummy because if someone breaks in the last people i want alerted are the neighbours/police! I might change this one day to a silent alarm that rings my mobile. - Just like generally being a normal person. I drive a normal little car, have a career, decent income but not too much to make peep's jealous. IMHO most problems come down to jealousy, word of mouth or nosey neighbours. If you keep your stuff on the down low, take care of security and restrict access to your property so nosey buggers can't snoop your in great shape! I can't stress the security by obscurity part the most! If you look like Mr & Mrs plain (Or Mr & Mr like us ha ha!) you can't really go wrong. I'm not a big fan of security cameras, kick ass alarms and guard dogs. It makes me think "What are you hiding / securing?" I'd rather my house look normal but a bit of a pain in the arse to break into. I think most tea leafs look for easy work not hardship.
Seven cops showed up at my door a few years ago to serve a drug warrant to my sister's ex. I have no affiliation with this person, so I was extremely pissed. Anyway, I could see three of them taking position at the front door, and the other four scouting the driveway on their way to the back door. My cameras streamed sound as well, so I could hear one cop say, "Look...they have cameras!". And then I saw the guns drawn as one did the bang the door thing. I hauled ass to get to the door so they wouldn't bust down the door and end up shooting my mentally disabled son. Anyway, I don't have visible cameras anymore. The look on their faces was priceless. However, the camera obviously made them nervous...which then made me nervous... Sent from my ADR6350 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
They were already "pumped" when they got there. You had every right to be nervous, but now days cameras are everywhere. It's becoming part of everyday life. You can't go pick up a gallon of milk without being recorded.
Exactly! Cameras are everywhere and a part of everyday life so it's normal for anyone to have them. It doesn't make you look more suspicious, it makes you look like a normal guy wanting to be safe.
I know, if we're talking outdoor guerillas, the would-be ripper could just throw a stick or 2 at the camera. Not like the person owning the camera is doing anything legal anyways >.>
In my area 60% of the population grows. The whole "tell no one" thing doesn't apply to all grows Google maps tells everyone. I have an 8 ft wall made from OSB and 2 great danes that may be retarded but they're fast and loud. I look forward to adding cameras this year.
Iv recently put up a few new ones and man do they work! Seriously people these do work great! And i got mine for 4/10$ so thats 2.50 each... I SHOULD HAVE CALLED THIS POST SECURITY FOR $2.50
