What we really need is multi member districts but unfortunately the Supreme Court made it illegal. The basic idea is that in many states there are districts that have an extremely high amount of people compared to others because they are in a city. What we need it to allow districts with vastly more people to have more representatives so that the people are equally represented. Both dems and GOPers across the country have used this to gerrymander the shit out of our country. Due to the way we disperse a multi member district system would be much more effective and would cut down a lot on gerrymandering. There are places where something like 45 percent voted republican, 53 percent voted dem yet the stat ended up with 63 percent republicans elected and 37 percent democrat because it's an extremely gerrymandered state where dems are often more concentrated in city areas.
I don't understand why people hate Sanders. He was elected as mayor four times, that's not by accident. He participated in the Civil Rights marches in the 50's/60's, he is the first (and only politician by my count) to speak out on polarizing issues like Sandra Bland, he voted against TPP, calls out Citizens United, he votes the same way that he voted 20 years ago, he is pro-gay rights, he is anti-establishment (against Wall Street and 1%), he wants to build a middle class by raising minimum wage (which would benefit me, personally), he thinks prisons are too full, he is anti-war, he thinks drug laws are way too harsh ... he speaks true and honest and doesn't bullshit like 99 percent of other politicians. How does that make him a "fucking idiot"? Because he is a socialist? Who gives a shit. The system in place doesn't benefit most people as it is. To me Bernie is our only hope in 2016.

voting isn't going to change anything imo, the only thing that will change things for the better is the needs of society, which is composed of individuals.
