I decided to start a little grow log to see if you guys can give me any advice along the way,

this is going to be my 2nd indoor grow (I got sick of bad weather and thieves spoiling my year)
I planted 2 Blueberry & 2 Venus X ??? seeds to start with, only 1 of the VenusX seeds germinated out of all 4 (only real plant in 1st pic) so I planted 3 NLxBB and 2 IcexLowryder about 2 days after the only plant I had opened its leaves, all 5 seeds of these germinated giving me 3 NLxBB, 2 Ice x Lowryder and 1 Venus cross.

Pic 1 is taken on what I classed as Day One for all of the plants (the older one is nearly a week old but its getting bunched with the others) and the Venus X ?? is the tallest in the pic, all the others are in their first 24 hours off breaking soil.

Pic 2 is taken at 8 days old (by my dateline for them) The Venus cross is the one with scorched leaves, this happened because its in a different soil mix with no vermiculite or perlite yet (trying out a new manure mix from the local farm) the plant next to the venus is NLxBB, the two plants in small plastic cups are the Ice X Lowryders and the two square pots are NLxBB

Theyre under a 105w 6400k CFL with a standard reflector on 18/6 cycle and a small oscillating fan is blowing over them all of the light cycle.

Will update about every 7-10 days

What you guys reckon so far??

Any constructive advice/critiicism welcomed.

They are crossed with Lowryder so I don't think they'll be anything like a true Ice

Update: I put the last two blueberry seeds in a couple of days ago and managed to get one to break its case and put out a root (I'm sure they were old or badly treated seeds) so fingers crossed its female.

Just thought I'd update this with day 12 pics, mainly an excuse to ask advice on ferts,

not really sure what the best ferts are because there are so many out there, anyone have a personal favourite??

As you can see from the pic the scorched one has taken it all in its stride and looks quite healthy now, I've only got one Lowryder x Ice that actually looks like it will be Lowryder (bottom row, middle pot) and my NL x Big Bud are doing fine.

I'm gonna repot sometime in the next week, I'm just in the middle of trying to find a suitable sized middle stage pot for them

I'm on to Day 17 now and I did a repot this morning as my plants were beginning to show signs of wanting to leave the pots they were in, they where starting to lose the lower leaves, these pots are only an intermediary size for the next 2-3 weeks, once they go under 12/12 I will be repotting them in the largest pots I can reasonably fit in my room, I've got 10 litre pots for the NLxBB and 6 litre for the Lowryder x Ice

I now have one definite female, the smallest Lowryder x Ice has already started producing flowers!! I can gaurantee 100% that they are defintely flowers I can't get a good enough close up to show you but I can see them

I'm now onto day 26 of my grow

two of the NL x BB have been moved out of the Veg room as they are beginning to get too tall, after 2 days in 12/12 one of them seems to have tiny pre-flowers forming, I hope so because if it is I'm going to sort a clone box out and try some cuttings

The other four Plants, 2 x Ice x LR, 1 NL x BB and an Unknown possibly Venus cross are still in the veg room and are doing mighty fine, 1 of the Ice x LR is now clearly flowering and the other isn't so it looks like the one that refuses to flower yet is more Ice than Lowryder.

If you look at the middle of the four plants you can see I also now have a small Blueberry that even after its problems early on (it lost a cotyldon in the first day) is now taking shape and looks as if it may actually produce a 1/2 decent plant.

I moved the remaining 4 plants into the main Flowering room onto 12/12 as they are getting quite large & healthy and have planted a mix of Lowryder crosses,
I now have three confirmed females, 1 NLxBB, 1 Unknown (possibly Venus x ?) & 1 Ice x LR i also have 1 confirmed male NLxBB, the other two, an Ice x LR thats more Ice than LR and a NLxBB are still holding out on me

I know I haven't updated for a while but my camera will not take a reasonable picture under my HPS no matter what I do, so I've had to wait till I could borrow one that does.

Out of my original plants I now have four females left, two NLxBB, 1 Critical Mass (the one I thought might be Venus cross) and 1 Blueberry (the little runt pulled through and is shocking me)

Sorry about the crappy focus but I got one chance with the camera as the guy was in a rush

1st pic is the tallest NLxBB that I had to bend over to keep her at the same kinda height as the rest of the plants
2nd is The Critical Mass up front with the other NLxBB behind it
3rd is my Blueberry, she has just shown female pre-flowers and has fan leaves bigger than any plant I have ever grown, the front leaf in the picture is longer than my hand just from the point that the leaf spreads its fingers

I love Blueberry. I have a berry mix and it is one of the best I ever grew.
