Anyone reading any good books lately?

  1. I've been reading the Psychedelics Encyclopedia
    and Food of the Gods,
I also read The Doors of Perception which was pretty cool. What have you guys been reading?

  2. LSD: My problem child. This book is written by the discoverer of LSD and in it he talks about many of the various Psychedelics

The Singularity is Near by Ray Kurzwiel. This book probably has made the largest impact on my life that any book has. It talks about the exponential growth of technology following Moores Law. It also talks about how we will one day merge with our technology and become post-human. We are already seeing this today. Some people never go anywhere without their cellphones.

  5. check this thread. People post up a lot of great books and authors.

I just started lama Surya Das awakening the buddha within : tibetan wisdom for the western world.

I'm really enjoying it so far and I'm only 40 pages in.

Waiting for my library to get Aldous Huxleys the doors of perception in for me. Hopefully by Monday or Tuesday.

  7. The last two good books I read were "The Night Circus" and "Shades of Grey" (NOT 50 Shades of Grey). I loved the fantasy elements of "The Night Circus"; I loved "Shades of Grey" because I'm color blind and it deals heavily with that even though it's a fiction novel.

  8. Chronic city by jonathan lethem is pretty brilliant so far. about 1/4 into it. i recommend it

  9. Chronic City sounds like somethin I would enjoy haha
