  1. OK so I'm not exactly a noob any more, but definitely not a season grower so feel free to ask questions, make suggestions, or just sit back and watch my progress.

a little history about my past.
    my first journal
    http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-grow-journals/995041-1st-grow-journal.html

I learned a lot during the journey of that journal, but I have so much more to learn. Thanks to all those who have helped me so far on this path and thanks in advance to those who help in the future.

where I have been the last few weeks/months
    http://forum.grasscity.com/grow-room-design-setup/1103341-designing-my-new-space.html

Currently I need to finish light proofing my new flower space, make some more soil and continue on with this exciting and rewarding adventure in my new hobby. The original and short term goal is to become self sufficient, the long term goal is to become a caregiver.

I like learning about new ideas, some of which I will experiment with myself, while others I will watch and learn. As always, feel free to enjoy the ride

    Peace.

  2. Some threads that have helped guide me so far, definite must reads in my opinion.

This thread guided my towards organic soil

This thread helped me get started with some cheap light setup

  3. Current over view.

In the old flower space (Tron)
I have 1 small Northern Light, will be coming down any time
4 White Widow crosses, 1 about 3 to 4 feet tall, also very close to coming down, the other 3 are not as big and have maybe a month

Outside I have 3 bagseed and 1 WW cross that will all be coming down in a few days if not tonight, the bagseed ones are close to being done, the WW could use another month, but Mother Nature does not seem like she is going to allow this. All four of these will probably become butter/oil with a little smoke. There is no love lost, as these where complete experiments/going to trashed due to mites.

in the new flower space (about 4' by 4')
1 Jack Flash mom, that was given to me, as soon as its original owner has roots on the cuttings this is headed to flower
1 Sour Diesel mom, same scenario as the Jack
1 Big Bud, 1 Ice, 1 Bubble Gum all of which need to be sexed, but already have cuttings taken and are now waiting for the new flower space to open.
    and also the WW crosses.

in the old veg cab, new cutting cab, I have a bunch of cuttings and a another Jack, and sour D, also have a northern light baby starting to veg up.

    Peace

  4. What better way to start an indoor journal than with a few Picts of my outdoor ladies, before and after chop

    Bag seed #1

Probably the best one, maybe the only one I would have chopped if the forecast was looking better

  5. Bag seed #2

Probably the worst of the 3 bag seed plants.

After taking it down and looking closer, all I can say is what a slugfest, they where a ton

  7. Some family portraits before being sent to flower, I realize I got some small pots right now, but 1st, my main goal is to sex em, 2nd, I don't have any soul mixed currently.

Ok here is the Bubble Gum

Not sure how to get rid of the lines, other than shut the lights off.

  9. Aussie Blue White Widow 5, this will be the third time running both the WWs, each time has gotten better, let's see how she responds to 1600 watts

  13. This AM the flower space was 100, is this going to be ok?

  14. 100 degrees? Noooo

And the lines are because of the intensity of light it will do that on most low end cameras

  15. ok, thanks, figured it would be an issue to be addressed, just did not know if its something that is an HURRY TO FOOK UP AND FIX, or a lets keep tweaking it down.

The immediate fix is to shut down either the 1000 MH, or the 600 HPS.

not sure about the long term, either get a smaller MH, invest in LED's, maybe a better wall mounted fan, could it be that I am not bringing in enough air, I have a 6" vortex 452 CFM exhaust in a 5.5 by 6.5 space.

    Thanks

  16. Shut the 1000 MH off for tonight
Last nights temp ran 103 max to 73. So at lights off this Am was 103 and lights back on this evening 73 and just 600 watt HPS tonight.

It appears I need more intake, none was built in intentionally, I sealed the flower up the best I could to block all light.

    Ideas for air intake
    1. Use PVC pipe 90s on each end straight in the middle, spray paint the inside black no reflection, also I could get gray that would help. Screen and filter the ends?

    2. Use panda liner, staple 3 sides then use bigger piece staple 3 sides open being opposite the under open side

  17. IMO, passive intake is more of an idealistic approach. Try blowing fresh air in at the bottom. It is generally easier to achieve the desired results by forcing air in.

Ya what I'm thinking is put an air intake below where the fan is mounted in the wall, which blows towards the bulbs. Right now it's a small fan, going to replace with a bigger one.

Last 24 hours with just the 600 HPS temps range 82 to 73, tonight I left the door between rooms unzipped, I'll close before light out.

    Peace

  19. I would like to pull up a chair and watch this grow. Looks like you got a lot going on over there.
