  1. about two weeks ago i started to cut some clones off my white widow plant i took three from the bottom of the plant and a main one from the top of the plant i cut them so that one node off each stem is in the ground shaved them a little like with scissors then dipped them in water then in root powder then the question i put them in the dark is that right or should i have put them right in the light none of them are dead yet i was wondering if i should move them to the light now and do you think they have roots yet and would too much water kill a clone

  2. Clones need gentle light whilst rooting. Taking clones is the only time I use lights - I put three clones around a minifluoro 18/6. I plant the clones in clear plastic cups so I can monitor root growth, and secure a plastic bag around the top to keep them humid. When good roots have formed I take the bag off, if the girls stay stiff and upright I leave them to breathe in the air for a couple of days, then transplant the girls into 11 UKgallon pots, and give them full sun.
