I'll mostly share my glass here since I've been buying a bit more lately.
I'm not smoking so it's mostly going to be pendants, marbles and millefiori, though I will scoop some functional from time to time.

I'll post old milkvids of my ApixDesign stemline to disk and a few old nug and concentrates shots every now and then.

Feel free to ask for more pictures or details of anything, I am in love with glass art and I love discussing all this.

I'll start with a little sickness.

Here's a couple milli canes I got in the past couple days.

And a shot of my new Royal/Andonis collab marble #5 I got in yesterday.

    Certainly more to come :smoke:

  5. It gets better.

This was my desk a few days ago. I've gotten 5 packages since then and have 7 on the way, all mille.

This stuff is amazing! I've always liked glass ornaments and stuff but these are hands down some of the coolest I've seen!

My gf gets real into those necklaces with glass pendants in that style, she would cream over something that looked like this tho.

...I assume this to be a rather costly hobby

It can certainly cost a good bit. There are thousand dollar marbles and hundred dollar mille slices (I paid $70 and $50 each for a couple pretty coins the other day, they'll probably show up Monday, my most expensive milles yet, my most expensive marble yet was just over $200).
I've sunk probably around 2k in my current collection, if not more, since May this year.

I've got a few nice pendants as well, I'll show more of those later, don't wanna dump too much too soon ;)

Edit: added up some numbers...my 20 marbles and 8 pendants come out to almost exactly $2000.
I have at least a few hundred dollars in millefiori, canes and slices, not to mention a couple nice dishes.

  9. Got this atomic paisley cluster coin in today, by Adam Engleson of firebrand glass
Around an inch in diameter, weighs 4.2g

  10. I am going to sound extremely ignorant, but what are these for? What's the difference between the different names of things you mentioned?

  11. Trippin.
Some of those go into such extreme detail it's amazing, most people will never pay attention long enough to look at how much goes into it actually.

  12. hehehehe

    figured we'd get here

Lol yeah. thought about it when I made the thread, that's why I said feel free to ask questions since there are tons of people who don't know about the mille craze

The big lebowski I posted is a millefiori cane, the image goes all the way through the cane.
You can slice off chips for encasing in a marble, pendant, pipe etc
They are usually quite small, like under half an inch, I'll post some size reference pics when I get home in 90minutes

    Or you can collect them.
Nice polished coins are usually for collecting, like the atomic paisley cluster I posted. They're usually bigger as well.

    [quote name='"Javarius Reptar"']Trippin.

Yeah Greg crams in as much detail as possible it seems.
Strobel is a master of the art, had a chance to grab r2d2 and c3po chips, old school Strobel from 05 with incredible detail, but opted to score a nice Kennaroo Woodstock set. Love fat coins and it comes with the conpoents to it aaaand its Ti signed, stoked for that to come in late in the week.
