Okay, 1919 World Series. wtf. I guess Joe Jackson was completely innocent. Been 87 yrs and why is he still not in the hall of fame - possibly one of the greatest injustices ever. He was a baseball god.

Here's why he's innocent - batted over .300 in series with record number of hits. Also he's illiterate so Comiskey's lawyer told him to say he accepted money. There's more, but yeah not guilty end of story basically.

Pete Rose. again Banned - For Life. wtf. I say what u do off the field doesn't take away from what was done on the field. I mean he's Charlie Hustle, tough as nails. So what if he did a little betting on his own team. Who cares he's the all-time leading hitter.

and what exactly does a ban for life mean. Shoeless Joe is dead isn't he. So why is he still banned. Rediculous. Mlb is evil. I still love baseball just don't like to see this stuff. Apparently Comiskey set up the whole 1919 series fix with that bootlegger dude, geez and the players are the ones that get raped for it while he has a park named after him. Anyways that's my rant for the day.

I used to love baseball. I'm 39 and started watching when I was about 16. I remember vividly Brett Butler then of the Dodgers stealing home and I was hooked. I also remember when Cecil Fielder called Brady Anderson after Anderson hit his 50th home run. It was HUGE to hit 50 hr's in a season. Then baseball went on strike, over money, and agents, and money, and other things of course but mostly, money. They got together and saved the game from disaster. Baseball was making a comeback of sorts, players were hitting more HR's, the fences were being pulled in, Sosa, Palmeiro,McGwire, Giambi,Rodriguez,Canseco,Bonds were becoming GIANT. Then steroids, now favorites of my childhood are all real cheaters to players like "Shoeless" Joe, Roger Maris, Pete Rose, Buck Weaver and on and on and on. I don't think I'll ever feel the same about basball.

I guess if you're involved with gambling on baseball games you're banned for life and after life.

some people get overlooked, a "ban for life" is apparantly not necessary for him
