Staring at the bottle on the desk in front of me - ergo the title of the thread

No specific journey here. Just messing around with some stuff and maybe along the way a nugget of knowledge will be deposited by the blades what pass by this thread

This started on the beginning of August with the taking of a few clips from the 2 donors:
PHK - Purple Head Knocker
L - cross of ak47 x blueberry

Also, I struck some beans of:
Fire Plex
Lemon Dream

I did a little mini-experiment when I took the clips and that was, 3 of the clips were treated with triacontanol and 3 were not. result was no difference. didn't appear to help nor hurt.

So, without further pontificating here's some porn.

 

Guess I should explain what the above picture are.... LMAO, guess I should puff afterwards and not prior to composing a post.

In the first picture you are looking at on left the L clone and PHK is on right. In middle is some clips waiting to root (these eventually ended up in the aero cloner). These 2 clips are now both in the flower tent (we'll get to them later).

The next picture is a bucket with some willow shoots soaking in water. This water was added to the base water in the aero cloner to enrich it with the necessary acid to encourage root growth. Phallic acid

The third picture is what happens to a dandilion when you put triacontanol onto it (the triacontanol that wasn't used for the clip got thrown out under the porch). You have gigantic leafs... measure them in feet and not inches.

Lastly, we have our froggy who has taken up residence in the mulch. Drought here was pretty strong and took it's toll on the flower garden.

The last picture shows the clips in the aeroCloner.

So I was trying to make a verbal joke, aka, play on words with salicylic acid and phallic but it appears that it didn't go over well.

I've been thinking for sometime about a variation on the venerable earth-tainer. Think the word everyone is using is SIP, but I'm not too keen on the verbaige.

NeWay, what I did was get some 1" pvc, some 45 connectors, a 2 pack of the replacement wicks from Tiki lamps. dry fit it all together and then glued it up.

Loaded the tube with water and left in bathtub. Sucker looks like it will work, if by that I mean, the water didn't just leak out like a bad prostate. The wicks swelled up (lol, you pre-verts) and did a fairly effective job at forming a meaningful seal. I would however re-do them on version 2.o, first they are a little too loosey goosey and secondly, they move a lot of moisture, like A LOT. We are gonna find out just how effective this design works. It's v1.0, so not much is expected.

You can see how it interfaces with the Scrog frame. This pot will be the next one to host a plant. Stay tuned.

 

With the new and enlarged growing spaces I've run out of soil.

Trip to the local store and got all of this stuff, which will form the bulk of the medium. Only thing missing is perlite and that will come from the next store.

To this, I'll add a few things and hopefully, if all works out well, I'll have some decent stuff to work with for the next couple of years.
