So if anyone has any experience with this I would be indebted to you all. In background checks they state that they will check past records for drug tests, does that refer to federally issued drug tests? If an employee failed a drug test for one company, that is confidential is it not? Wouldn't the new company not have access to that information? Also, if I submit to background checks, does that make me susceptible to drug tests as well? I have given permission for background checks but have not provided any consent for a drug test (I think). Does that mean I am home free, or because i signed a background check consent form am I still liable to take one? I know this is a popular topic, but i would like to stress that i have been offered the position for the time being.
