What ADVANCED NUTRIENTS are you feeding your plants for bloom/flower in your grow?

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by DrGr33nThumb215, Aug 22, 2012.

1. I have been using advanced nutrients going on 4 Years now. I have seen the labels change from the year to year and so forth. I have quite a bit of experience with this nutrient line as it is my first choice of all those on the market. I am always eager to learn more about AN.

So I have been trying to get my AN feeding dialed in this cycle I will be adding Nirvana to my regiment I have never used Nirvana but have read alot of good things about it as organic flower enhancer I think it will go great with AN Big Bud & AN Overdrive

I know it's not good to use due to PGR's but I always use Humboldt Gravity because it adds so much density to my buds and increase my yield significantly. I can't grow without it.

these were from my 60 day cycle of light deprivation greenhouse.

2. damn, man good looking herb. but have you ever considered that it will grow without store bought "juice" . just saying?

3. It will, but not like that... All natural no add ons wouldn't produce the same product.

4. I have tried growing organics before, and honestly my quality goes from an 8/9 out of 10 to a straight 4 out of ten maybe 5 if your a fien...and my yield is dog shit :( I tried some advanced I got for free along time ago and there has been no looking back for me superb quality and exception yield in soil or dwc hydro, I know I sound like a walking AN advertisement but this is just the stuff I have grown the best pot with and continue to grow amazing cannabis with, all my buddies who grow large commercial crop of high medicinal quality use Advanced Nutrients it is just what works for us. Im not in this business for taste or smell strictly the greenbacks

i could not agree more

5. Looks very nice. I do a mix of canna, botanicare and advanced. I definitely like the crust you are getting with just the AN and the gravity, good work. I do blue dream also, and have been looking into blue widow, those buds of yours def have me interested ;)

6. How does your bud turn out with the current mix of nutrients you are using?

What AN & Botanicare nutrients do you use currently? I have used the Pro Blend and Liquid Karma in the past and have liked the results very good products in my opinions. Have you tried Nirvana by AN? I hear it is very similar to the Liquid Karma but slightly better, I am using it for my first time this cycle.

The Blue Widow turned out amazing, I got a few different cuts from a club in Sacramento, and the stuff turned out so good for me. I have never grown anything this good. I didn't do anything different then I normally do the strain just has immense genetic potential. It was so caked out with crystal and super sticky and stinky from about week three on of flower. I think the strain is actually more sativa dominate then indica because it grows very tall and lanky. I think it might do even better if I let go possibly 9 or 10 weeks and even increase my yield with it but it is a very high yielder as well my entire next crop will be blue widow and blue dream.

I highly recommend this strain though. Before I grew Blue Widow I had never heard of it and I figured I would give it a try what is the worst that could happen it, but it ended up turning out great.

Happy Smoking:smoke::D:wave:

7. This is some stuff I saw in the Book of Big Bud a while back about blue widow. I haven't done any online research on the strain but you can never go wrong with the book of big bud

My bud turns out great! I am still able to get really good prices for my blue dream, pretty much the same as 3-4 years ago when it was so much less than everything else, lol! It has a bad rap, but I've done it for years just cause its what I like to smoke. I've been using the same line up (for the most part) for several years in coco and have always gotten top shelf stuff with them. I did try switching to a mostly botanicare system and it definitely was not as good on the final product for me.

I have always used AN Ph-down almost as long as I can remember. I have some super bud blaster 0-52-31 on my shelf, I have had good results with some strains, but its so damn strong that I have been taking a break from it so I can get a better feel or it if I do use it again. I've used sensicalmg for a good while too, but I switch between that and botanicare sometimes. I used budcandy for a while and liked it, but have stuck with sweet mostly cause it comes in bigger bottles and I like to use a lot of it, even in veg. I currently use liquid karma, but was actually planning on trying to the nirvana once I run out, so that's good to hear. I also use botanicare hydroplex, and have recently become a fan of both their fulvex and vitamino. My base line is canna coco a/b, cannazym, rhizotonic, and pk 13/14. I also have always used superthrive and compost tea, and use maxicrop even though its sort of overkill with the karma or nirvana, but I find its more gentle and works well for right after transplant and such for a faster recovery.
:smoke
As for the blue widow, dude I want some! Lol! It looks amazing, and I have actually recently been on the hunt for it, and its so sketcky buying genetics off Craigslist and such, Lmao! I usually push my blue dream 9-10 weeks, I notice the most crustyness come out in the final days there, I can only imagine that widow would be more colorful and more frosty, if that's possible! Let me know if you ever have any spare cuttings and we can trade or something maybe ;)

earlier this summer I probably sold about 1,000 clones on craigslist I had so much business it was unreal this was my ad...

[IMG] I have since changed my google voice number...always gotta burn the number :)

right now I just have cuts of blue widow and blue dream, if your in the sacramento area we can maybe hook up PM me... I came across 4 different phenotypes of blue dream this year, and got cuts of each. I labeled them blue dream A,B,C,4 for scientific purposes. But I noticed that 2 were the 9-10 week blue dream that flowered later and took longer to finish, but the Blue Dream C & Blue Dream A take off so fast into bloom they had almost all orange hair around 7-8 weeks and were crystally as hell at 4 weeks, I am growing the same phenos till november so we shall see how they do in a 10 to 11 week cycle and finish naturally. If you down south or something too I can send you a cut or something in the mail. I have over nighted a tray of clones to my boy down in AZ before

10. Pm sent;)

11. AWESOME AN grow!!

12. Thanks man, I love AN I don't where I would be without there product probably still growing fluffy cannabis with GH or possibly miracle grow lol. I am really sold on the stuff I have been using it for a long time and it works wonders for me quality and yield. Do you use AN?

13. I'm a huge AN fan too.

I tried the whole organic thing as well, I'd say the quality was pretty comparable to synthetic. Honestly I just wasn't impressed and like you say the yield was crap.

It's not like I have unlimited space, I grow with every square inch I can devote to it. So it's not like I can just grow twice as many plants to make up the yield I lose going organic and I really don't see any big improvement in taste so why the hell would I do that?

Though I gotta say I'm thinking of giving it another shot with AN's organic line. They just came out with a new thing, Ancient Earth, and I'm curious how much they've closed the gap between synthetic and organic.

14. I started using Nirvana this cycle its AN fully organic bloom enhancer and I must say I am very impressed for 18.99 a bottle it does wonders, I wish I would have started using it soon, the smell and taste of my cannabis so far this cycle is much superior, I have also be using humboldt honey es during the first few weeks of flower as well though :) Lets me know how the full organic AN goes if you do use it, what sweetner do you use with that line the bud candy still? I tried out the new jungle juice line a few weeks ago and was really happy with that product for the price, My next cycle I am going to be ugrading my advanced nutrient line and instead of going with sensi A and B I am going to be using the Connoissuer A & B my buddy switched from sensi and said the results in his dwc hydro are off the charts so I am going to give it a shot see if the couple extra bucks for the connie over the sensi is worth it.

15. why are you doubling up on big bud-powder and liquid? seems kind of wasteful and unnecessary

16.
It will, but not like that... All natural no add ons wouldn't produce the same product.
That's because you have no idea what u were doing with organics. Sorry bro. That's the truth tho. I've got nuggs as big as a beer GLASS that haven't gotten one nute. Not a pint glass either. A liter glass. Frosty as a flocked xmas tree.

Sent from your mom's house...

17. Nice way to completely derail the thread dude. There are plenty of other threads to debate nutes vs organic, you aren't aren't proving anything to anyone here. This is abplace for advanced growers to discuss and explore advanced growing techniques; but there are plenty of other forums where you can go blurt out off topic generalizations littered with school boyish insults and have better results.

18. Oh, u must be responding to my signature lol. That's not directed at him. That's just my sig cuz I hate the 'sent from my such and such cell phone'. Lol. My bad. But he honestly must not have known what he was doing with organics. I've got major proof of that too.

Sent from your mom's house...

19. why are you using big bud liquid and powder??????????????

20. I call BS. You either don't understand how plants work, or you're deliberately ignoring the fact that so-called "organic" growing involves nutrients.

First you say what you claim is "the truth", then you say you've got "major proof".

I don't think that means what you think it means.

You have an opinion. Facts and proof are not present in anything you've said. I can say all kinds of things, but until I prove they're true saying they're true is ridiculous. Furthermore, you cannot prove anything at all about what someone else knows or has experienced unless you have first-hand knowledge of their knowledge or experience. You can say he doesn't know what he was doing with organics, but you saying it doesn't make it true.

No, it's childish. Plain and simple. If we take you at your word and assume that your "mom's house" signature is a general dig directed at people who don't remove the default signature built into their smartphone app, that's still childish. It's based upon the immature assumption that A: anyone else shares your point of view and B: people it's directed at will notice and/or care that you don't like it. Additionally, it uses playground "humor" in the form of insult which is itself additionally childish.

I think the phrase "my bad" is infinitely worse than "sent from such and such cell phone" because it is inherently a lie. Nearly every time someone say "my bad" they don't mean it, they simply are trying to get out of an apology without actually making or meaning an apology. See, if you actually thought that your signature was a reasonable ground for misunderstanding or insult, you'd change it. But you don't. You don't think it's "your bad", you think it's "his bad" and you don't give two shits what anyone else thinks as long as you get to make witty little stabs at people you consider to be less witty than yourself.

If you do something worthy of saying "my bad", and you actually mean it, you avoid doing it again. If I bump into a stranger at the store and knock something out of their hands I apologize and help them pick it up. And then I make damn sure I don't bump into them again because I am actually, honestly sorry I inconvenienced them. If I do it again that means I don't really care whether they're inconvenienced, at least certainly not enough to take the time to make sure I don't do it twice.

Just be aware of two things if you're about to use the "I forgot to do it" or "I hadn't gotten around to it" excuse. First, that simply supports the opinion that it wasn't actually important to you. Second, it is precisely the reason why there are so many of the cellphone signatures you claim to be crusading against in the first place, and would thus make it very hypocritical if you were to claim it as your own excuse.

There. I think that thoroughly and exhaustively covers all aspects of childish behavior. We should now be able to get back to the relevant topic of the thread.

Unless beerbrewer wants to explain the magic of growing plants without nutrients...
