Hi, my names dustin, I have a question, I am not that experienced in the smoking world. I have smoked weed since i was 16 and most of the times I do, nothing goes wrong.

However, a couple of times I smoke and get REALLY high, basically I took a massive rip of a bong last night and i passed out around 8:00 PM then i woke up around 7 AM and woke up feeling very anxious and I felt some lingering effects of the weed i smoked.

I am perscribed anxiety medication, however I was led to believe smoking weed is supposed to relieve anxiety? Any particular reason this could be happening to me? Like I said most of the time when I smoke nothing happens, is this a coincidence? It has happened to me before in the past. Does certain weed have the potential to do this?

you probably smoked too much.
i have anxiety and smoking helps me.

like when i blaze and just pass out, i wake up feeling groggy & still somewhat under the influence. just pop some "anxiety meds" and go about your day.

EDIT: get something high in CBD.

usually the bud with more cbd and less thc in it is better at getting rid of anxiety while bud with low cbd and high thc content will make have more anxiety. certain strains may vary, just do some googling about it theirs lots of good info out their and also on the medical mj forum.

If your worried if you should be smoking green or not then thats your choice. Maybe try smoking low or mid grade and move up to high grade marijuana. Anything that can relieve anxiety can also cause it.

Make sure you eat before you smoke. Smoking weed lowers your blood sugar, which can cause anxiety if it gets low. Sugary things like fruit, juice or candy bars are generally best before smoking.

Smoking too much can result in anxiety

Smoking at a bad time can result in anxiety. Set and setting is not only important for psychedelics, but also for weed. Set is your mindset and setting is where you are. E.g. if you are feeling depressed/worried and/or decide to smoke when theres a high chance you will get caught by your parents, your likely to have anxiety when you get high.

This I disagree with because there is no/little research to back up that weed has any effect on blood glucose and if it did it wouldn't be a significant amount to cause hypoglycemic induced anxiety.

This^

You probably get way too high fall asleep and wake up at 7 with anxiety from adrenaline rushes. When some people, including myself, fall asleep early or aren't exactly ready to fall asleep will wake up with adrenaline induced anxiety which is a natural mechanism.

Weed will lower anxiety but you just gotta smoke less..smoking too much for anyone gives paranoia. So maybe roll a joint or get a one hitter. Take a puff wait 5 min see how you feel and if you're good enough take another one. That way you know how to control each "level" of high and know about how high you wanna get
