However, a couple of times I smoke and get REALLY high, basically I took a massive rip of a bong last night and i passed out around 8:00 PM then i woke up around 7 AM and woke up feeling very anxious and I felt some lingering effects of the weed i smoked.
I am perscribed anxiety medication, however I was led to believe smoking weed is supposed to relieve anxiety? Any particular reason this could be happening to me? Like I said most of the time when I smoke nothing happens, is this a coincidence? It has happened to me before in the past. Does certain weed have the potential to do this?

okay I understand what you are saying but, I am wondering why this happens because isnt smoking bud supposed to relieve anxiety? i just dont understand.
you probably smoked too much.
i have anxiety and smoking helps me.
like when i blaze and just pass out, i wake up feeling groggy & still somewhat under the influence. just pop some "anxiety meds" and go about your day.
EDIT: get something high in CBD.

Smoking too much can result in anxiety
Smoking at a bad time can result in anxiety. Set and setting is not only important for psychedelics, but also for weed. Set is your mindset and setting is where you are. E.g. if you are feeling depressed/worried and/or decide to smoke when theres a high chance you will get caught by your parents, your likely to have anxiety when you get high.

Make sure you eat before you smoke. Smoking weed lowers your blood sugar, which can cause anxiety if it gets low. Sugary things like fruit, juice or candy bars are generally best before smoking.
This I disagree with because there is no/little research to back up that weed has any effect on blood glucose and if it did it wouldn't be a significant amount to cause hypoglycemic induced anxiety.

You probably get way too high fall asleep and wake up at 7 with anxiety from adrenaline rushes. When some people, including myself, fall asleep early or aren't exactly ready to fall asleep will wake up with adrenaline induced anxiety which is a natural mechanism.
Weed will lower anxiety but you just gotta smoke less..smoking too much for anyone gives paranoia. So maybe roll a joint or get a one hitter. Take a puff wait 5 min see how you feel and if you're good enough take another one. That way you know how to control each "level" of high and know about how high you wanna get
