Since no country owns it, so pretty much its legal to do anything in international waters right? So If i took a boat that I own out far enough that in international waters, I can pretty much just toke up with no fear of getting arrested? We could like all throw a huge 420 party out there! :D

lmao, sure.... but you could take your boat out on any coast, lake, river, stream, ocean and toke up. As long as they don't see you, you're golden!

yeah looks like you'd have to get a pretty good distance from any actual shore.

Hope you got a big enough boat.
Oh yeah, and if you're on a cruise or some shit you can't because you'd be leaving shore in possession of it and they'd smack you with a bunch of other crimes.

I think it may depend on whos Flag the ship is sailing under /US flagged ship ,you are subject to arrest and seizure.

I want to buy a giant cruise ship, load it up with hydro equipment/weed underneath Cali's mmj laws, name it the SS Mary Jane and open her up for business. Sure, you have to boat out a ways to board it since you can't really dock anywhere, but I'm sure you'd get enough celebrities to make up the cost. lol

^ That just made me think: Imagine a cruise that allowed smoking and everyone was just getting blazed out in the middle of the ocean. That'd be fucking optimal! <- He said it would optimal. Who says that??

Get yourself a couple of tasty treats. They'll make rash decisions based on fear.

Because of the implications ;)

Nope! You are subject to the laws of the country that the ship/boat is registered in.

For one thing, every ship is subject to the jurisdiction of the country whose flag it flies. So are its occupants......

...The nationality principle, also sometimes called the active personality principle. That's the one involved where ships are concerned. LOSC says, "Ships have the nationality of the State whose flag they are entitled to fly." The nationality principle says that states have the right to regulate the conduct of their nationals

The Straight Dope: In international waters, are you beyond the reach of the law?
