Blueberry & cheese auto, 250w & 400w Not Sure's 'ganic ganja grow

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by Thicken Dense, Aug 12, 2012.

  1. Sup fellas!! I'm finally set for my next grow. This one's going to be all blueberry from .nl ...I've grown her before and she's one of my top favorites so I chose her over the rest of my options. This is my last seed so I want to make the most of her, plan is to fill my 400w box with blueberry clones in 7 gal smartpots, and let the mother flower in the 250w in her 7 gal. If I do this right, I could theoretically pull a pound all together, but I'd be happy with half that.

Currently I'm using a happy frog mix with espoma plant-tone, kelp meal, bone, blood, lime, castings, and 5 gal perlite. For my clones I'll be switching to roots organic but that's down the road a bit. For now I'm just sitting back and watching her grow.

This is my one cheese auto that survived out of my June Jubilee, I basically planted all of my autos just to have some in-between bud before my next full harvest but it's all good. I still have one diesel to cut, 3 zips from last harvest, and about 6 grams of oil to hold me over.

Thanks for checking out my grow!! Comments welcome :smoke:

  2. Definetly subbed to this!

I must say the smart pots look awesome. Some of them have handles, the others look huge!
Plants are looking mighty healthy as well, betting you'll be closer to that LB mark than the half.

    Good luck!

  3. Thanks man, the 7 gal are huge, plenty of organics in there. The only downside is the cost of filling 4 of them with roots soil. We'll see how they do :smoke:

  4. It just doesn't get any more organic than this my man.

  5. That's pretty nasty. I saw a show about how the process of mass producing ammonia was perfected by the Germans during WWI, to get N to crops cheaply thus increasing their food supply. But they also used it to make chlorine gas in their fight with the russians, nasty shit.

Not organic related, but I was wondering if you could dilute ammonia for the same effect?

Ammonia is NH³, with the amount of ammonia you'd need to have it be effective you'd have a crazy high hydrogen molecule count. Hydrogen is great in the H²O form but I'm not so sure it's any good "raw".

    EDIT: Fertilizer

Approximately 83% (as of 2004) of ammonia is used as fertilizers either as its salts or as solutions. When applied to soil, it helps provide increased yields of crops such as corn and wheat. Consuming more than 1% of all man-made power, the production of ammonia is a significant component of the world energy budget. [7]

  7. Update

7 days later. I tried to fim her for more tops, we'll see what happens. She's just over 3 weeks.

  8. Looking spectacular, oh can I have clones please please please? Lol Sorry, truly one of the best strains to ever grow imo.

Nice looking mouse you have there. He'd make a mighty good meal for Lucille my Ball Python ^_^ :devious:

LOL, thanks man!! I started her in a lot of myco, and used more when I transplanted so I hope it's helping. As always, I plan on taking more clones than I need here, would be a shame to have to ditch them ;)

Shit man, pythons are fucking awesome, friend of mine is into monitors too. He's got a whole room with homemade plexiglass enclosures. They're very aggressive though, I won't handle them without the gloves like my buddy does.

    LOL, Lucille ...Ball :)

I think you really have the hang of this organic stuff man. Are your initial concerns about her gone?

So I'd gladly trade you some blue dream clones for blueberry ;-) Because yes, it'd be a travesty to chuck any. :smoke: We'll talk.

Pythons are awesome, the first one I had was insane and ate itself. No idea to this day why, maybe I fed it a bad mouse. This one's just a baby, so I can't handle it too much. Maybe, 10-15 minutes a day. Snakes don't like to be held they just tolerate it. Haha.

Seriously, a whole room full? I'd shit. Saw a boa at the pet store yesterday and wanted to get it, but it had a hefty price tag. Yep, Lucille Ball... I'm a punny guy what can I say.

  11. Yea, but they're like pens for the lizards, if you look at the room from the top down it would be divided by plex with a path going into the room, he can set up dividers wherever he wants lol. Reminds me of a growroom.... for lizards.

Yea, my fears are gone. I'm impressed with her growth rate in just 7 days. I think it's a combination of things, I definitely feel like the mycos helped here.

  12. Eh, my fim didn't take. So I just topped her and put her in the scrog rack. Cheese auto moved under 400w 18/6 till harvest.

She'll probably finish under the MH bulb so I can veg my blueberry clones properly, as they're my priority.

My most recent harvest... got some purpling in there, temps maybe? (72f)

Took some clones over the past few days, my blueberry mom is bushing out nicely and showing no signs of deficiency, temps have been steady at 82-83f but I expect them to drop as the weather gets colder.

That's my appropriately named "tree watering device" :smoke:

My cheese auto hasn't shown much vertical growth but she has become more robust under the 400w. I'm very interested in this autoflower as I've never grown one before.

and... my hot peppers, also very healthy. Growing in recycled ocean forest, recharged with espoma plant-tone.

  14. Blue looks amazing dude. I'm shocked at how quickly its making progress. Loving your device too, clever like a fawx. Lol

Your cheese will be a monster too, it looks like it's growing multiple colas even without topping. Can't wait until you get a whiff of that girl. Minty blue berries just days from finish.

  15. Thanks man, she's stinking already. Very strong skunky dankness when I was cutting clones. My mouth is watering just thinking about the taste. :smoke:

  16. Update

Sup fellas!!! I see a lot of gorgeous outdoor plants coming up, you guys must be proud. Fair weather in the NE US, hope it stays that way. Last year we had back to back hurricanes and quite a few mold problems in my stretch of the valley.

OK, my cheese auto is coming along. She's 32 days already, I wonder how she's going to pack on the bulk from here, given the estimated harvest time. Watching her closely, pre-flowers showing all over and an estimated 40 more days? For the record, I'm going to give her 20/4 HPS from today on, just to see what she can do. No stink, but I haven't really stuck my nose in her bush yet, too young for me :p
    [IMG]

...something weird going on with her fanleaves, every now and then one of them will flip sideways and it's not from the fan. Know anything about that Cheesed? I wonder if she's just giving me a thumbs up :smoke:

And, here is my Blueberry mom before taking (2) cuts and pulling under..

    ...after
    [IMG]

^^The 2 clones on the right are a week old today, not bad for no humidity dome, no misting, and 55% r/h (I believe it's all in the cut :)) I still haven't splurged on a heating mat yet, too many things on my list. I did see a nice high-powered piston air-pump at my hydro shop for $50 which is a good price afaik, and that's high on my list for my aact teas. I have no soil cooked, which means I'm going to be spending $25 per bag to fill (4) 7 gal smartpots. It's either roots organic or ffof, I'll make my decision on buy day. But yea, too much shit on my list

These 2 were taken today, my materials... root riot cubes and clonex gel +scissors and fresh razor for scraping skin and making a shallow slice at the bottom of the stem
    [IMG]

I still remember taking my first clones ever, tried to angle the scissors for my cut and that's that, stuck em in rockwool (yuck) LOL :smoke:

I'm getting my regularly scheduled Mg deficiencies, showing more on the cheese auto but there's a hint of it in my blueberry mom. Started 1/4 tsp epsom per gal today on my cheese and I will top-dress some lime in my blueberry mom, since she's still got a ways to go.

Oh, and no bugs like I had last grow, and with the cold weather coming up I should skate past any potential mold issues as well when the big day comes for these fine indicas.

OK, boring but necessary... (B) mom is 6 weeks, I estimate she broke soil on 7/25, she's given up 6 cuttings so far. (2) on 8/25, (2) on 8/27, and (2) on 9/1 ... cheese auto broke soil on 8/1 and will be going from 18/6 MH to 20/4 HPS today (should have had her on 20/4 the whole time, thanks to Cheesed' journal for the strain-specific info)

And that's everything. Not much, small hobby grow for self-sufficiency but it gets the job done. Thanks for checking it out!! :smoke:

    :wave::hello:

You will be pleased with the bulking you get in these next 40 days. I was unknowingly root locked to a starter pot, with cfl, and only 12 hours of light and still pulled a decent amount. You should max out on breeders suggested yield with that set up. 400g/m², but that's outdoor. I think.

Turning leaves, in my experience, is totally normal. I took it to mean that they were waving, stretching, or just tanning their backside.

Good move on 20/4, you'll definetly see the best results from her with that schedule.

    See ya next update! :smoke::smoke::smoke:

  18. I'm beginning to see how fast they react to the environment, I've noticed the past few days that the auto responds quickly to whatever I do. I took 20 min to change my bulb the other day and as the hps was firing up I just stood there like a zombie with half a joint in my hand, watching it get brighter and brighter... then I realized that I was watching the leaves pick up in response to the light... within 20 min they had drooped and I was watching them move ever so slightly upwards, it was like a zen moment :smoke:

Today I gave her an aact tea and the usual drooping after watering came on within a few minutes, I literally turned around to do something and by the time I looked back she was in full-on drinking mode... I took a pic before watering so I grabbed my camera and snagged another one, before and after... (wtf pic uploads fail for 3 days, tinypic fgc)
    before...
    after...

So yea, I noticed that she takes in her environment quickly and it makes sense given their fast flowering times. Makes me feel better when she's looking her best, all perky and happy, lets me know that I'm caring for her well, tuned in to her needs, and that's such a good feeling.

I gave her the aact tea because of the slight Mg deficiency, I try not to let the pot dry out too much because it's bad for the organics but shit happens, so hopefully I'm heading off some problems by giving it to her now. (2/3 gal, 1/4 cup castings, dash of molasses, aerated 24 hrs)

    obligatory cannaporn...

  19. Dude!

You're so far along its insane. I can't believe those pics. Holy shit.

  20. healthy, rooted clones in 10 days... I'm so happy right now :D
