You must be looking at stuff from BEFORE he got elected cause if you have paid any attention to Obama since he got elected you would know there's no way in hell Obama is doing anything to help mj.

It's astonishing that after 4 years of the harshest crackdowns the MMJ community has ever seen, people still believe the nonsense posted by the OP. TweetyNird what is it you are looking at that makes you believe Obama will decriminalize Marijuana if he is reelected?I believe Obama will "Decriminalize" marijuana if re-elected

In my opinion, he has done nothing to contradict that statement
He has allowed the DEA to crack down on dispensaries, large growers and other entities and I don't see that changing soon
The business of marijuana is something Obama wants to keep under control for better or for worse
Obama has always stated that he is not in favor of full legalization and I similarly don't see that changing either
However, Obama has been very active in addressing problems with the "war on drugs"
He has publicly stated that he would like to see a system that utilized treatment facilities rather than law enforcement when dealing with people using marijuana
At first, I was thrown back by this as if he was trying to force people who do weed to go to rehab
Then I thought about this a bit more along the lines of decriminalization
What he is getting at is removing criminal penalties for simple possession and personal grows
This is by no means mass legalization, but it is an important step for the US and I believe he sees that
We are creating criminals out of non-criminals
Obama has been in talks with other countries about marijuana decriminalization recently
His administration has stated that he will do something about the war on drugs if re-elected
People think that marijuana is legal in Amsterdam, but it is simply decriminalized
We are not close to that kind of leniency yet, but we very well may be much closer than a lot of people realize

Yea, Obama didn't do shit. He flip-flops constantly with marijuana legalization and gay marriage. When he's running, he's for both. When he's in office, he's against it. He's just like every other politician, corrupt and in it for his own gain. I personally believe he only got elected because he's black. Literally, when he was running, people would tell me they're voting for Obama, then when I asked them why, they had no answer. He only got elected because he's black! < even put it in bold to make my point
If that were true, any black us citizen over the age of 35 could have been president
I understand that you don't like the fact that we have a black president and while I do not agree with that, I will fight for your right to express that to the death
The truth is Obama got elected because he was qualified for the role and happened to be black and the US has grown passed that being a barrier
Just because you have not, does not mean it was the sole reason he was elected and that statement in itself has no real support
Peace And Love

The problem with what you stated above is that you cannot have it both ways. You cannot say you are for protecting patients rights, while simultaneously closing down the place they get their medicine from. That only forces sick people back into darkened alley-ways. Obama's DEA MMJ crackdown has forced thousands of truly sick people back into the shady and sometimes dangerous underground of the illegal drug market. Before Obama was elected, he stated that he would protect MMJ patients and their rights in states where laws are in place
In my opinion, he has done nothing to contradict that statement
He has allowed the DEA to crack down on dispensaries, large growers and other entities and I don't see that changing soon

What Obama "may" have publicly stated about Marijuana and what he has actually done in the way of enforcement and adding to the DEA's budget with our tax payer dollars are two very different things.

You must be really high. Obama has been a terrible president, not only in terms of marijuana freedom. He's increased the wars and the debt. He signed a law allowing indefinate detenation with out a trial. He assaninated two american citizens with out due process. He's a Nobel Peace prize winner who has the blood of thousands of innocent human beings who were killed for nothing more than being in the wrong place at the wrong time on his hands.
I really hope you are high. Don't bother presenting any of your "points" or evidence. Just keep hoping for change.

smh... Cant believe people are still thinking about voting for Obama... you're out of your mind
What's the other realistic option, Romney? We as a Nation would be royally fucked then. He showed what a buffon he is with the overseas "tourist" vacation.

Either way all we have is hope someone legalizes it... and if it comes down two between Romney and Obama, Obama would be the one to do it.

I want mj to be legalized but with obama for 4 more years would destroy this country even more than it is now and I think the sake of this country is more important than legalizing mj.

I would be curious as to how you feel Romney is a better choice for the Country.
