One of my friends who loves Carlin to death got pissed at me for saying this but in the end he really got unfunny. He brought politics into comedy without being funny about it. I agree with him 100% on everything he said in his special but it I think I only laughed a total of 4 times throughout the entire show. That being said... old Carlin was hilarious and he will be remembered as one of the all time greats. You Carlin fans should really check out Louis C.K. He got into comedy because of Carlin and hes funny as fuck.

But....wouldn't you? If you had spent your whole life making people laugh at things that you were, on some level, serious (and right) about, wouldn't you just say fuck it at the end, and stop adding in the punchlines? I think he felt the need to add a touch of, "NO REALLY, I FUCKING MEAN IT" right at the end, and I don't at all fault him for that. Also, props on the C.K. nod sir.
I'm glad he spoke the way he did. He just came right out with the truth and didnt bullshit around. Something the U.S Government should think of doing.
