So heres my problem. For the longest time I have had two 15 inch subwoofers hooked up as my PC speakers to blast dubstep and bass music. I used to be able to get really deep bass that kicked hard because I could drop it down to 75HZ and 25Decibles

However, now when I right click the speaker in the icon tray, go to playback devices, Right click on speakers, Go to enhancements and try to edit the Hz and Decibels I see this (look for image below)

I used to be able to set my sound at 75Hz and 16 Decibels which with my subwoofers the house was shakin, at 25 decibels the house was fixin to come down, I never made any changes this just occurred one day after A Microsoft update, why the fuck are they messing with my shit?

I've never messed with it personally but I did find this:

I figured it out. Had to select my speakers select Configure, Select the stereo option (I have a 5.1 system with only front speakers and sub) and on the next screen uncheck everything and continue on. Then I have the option for upping my decibels and changing my frequency.

Here is the page I got it from

Anyway hope that helps

Nope still not right. I can plug them into the headphone jack and get the options I need, but not the speaker jack in the back? This is messsed up. I had to reinstall windows once just to fix this problem, it always happens to me.

And now one of my 15 inch subs is quieter than the other. ITs a mess

Sorry I'm not sure, like I said I never messed with it personally. If the update was recent could you restore back to before you downloaded it? Not really the best solution but could allow it to work until you find a fix. Maybe a 3rd party equalizer or something?

Do you have any equalizers that are free you can recommend?
I thought there was a way to delete windows updates, I never create restore points, ever.

I know in Win XP you can do it from control panel, Add or Remove Programs. I think in the newer versions it's under control panel as programs and features. You just pick the update you want to remove and click uninstall, on XP they're all listed under 'Windows XP - Software Updates' so it may be similar just with the OS you're using instead.

Also, before you do that you may want to check out this thread:

Equalizer for Windows? - Windows 7 Forums

They talk about equalizers and such but there may also be a solution for your issue. Hope this helps!

Wow that sounds awesome, can you take a picture of your setup? Normal 15 inch subs or computer specific ones? Just show em plox.
