Making QWISO Hash

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by phillysmoker92, Jul 20, 2012.

  1. My grinders have been dirty as crap recently, so I decided to clean them out and try to make some QWISO. I cleaned out both of my grinders in 91% isopropyl. Then I dumped the alcohol into a sheet pan to dry out, and set a fan on it. As it was drying, however, it acquired a slightly milky color and opaqueness. Is this normal?

Anyway, the fan is still blowing, and the alcohol is still evaporating. I am going to wait another several hours, but does anybody have any tips or suggestions?

  2. Yeah that sounds normal, it'll clear up as more alc evaporates. Qwiso made this way is typically going to have a lot of impurities so that may be part of the reason. I'd let it evaporate for 24 hours total if you aren't using a heat source to accelerate the process. After that take a razor blade, scrape it up and enjoy!

  3. Give it 24 hours before you scrape it for sure.

  4. i would dissolve it back into iso and filter it and re-do the evaporation

and by sheet pan, do you mean a metal pan?
