Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by skinnybigbuds, Jul 15, 2012.

  1. I decided to start a new thread for my second grow already in progress :smoke:

    400 watt hps
    3- 5 gal. house-of-green grow bags
I have two random bag seed going came out of a no name indoor nug, that was brownish really skunky smelling with a fruit punch kinda taste so my buddy came up with the name Brown skunk punch I will be calling them bsp. Then i have a Deadhead OG also a bag seed but i know the strain because it came from a local grower who ordered the seeds from Cali connections seeds. It could be a cross with a bubba kush or headband ( since there end up being two males plants that had to be taking out that could have pollinated the deadhead) or she just decided to put off a few seeds. Any way they all have pistols now so i know i'm working with all ladies!!! pics to follow, i'm posting here to get feed back, input, advise to if you have something to say feel free to chime in.

If you wanna check out my first grow or these gals on veg go here

  5. nice to see another 400w closet grower! ladies look nice how long did you veg and how far along are they?

  6. They all vegged for about 6 weeks i know the bsp's did i planned on mothering the deadhead but plans changed so i threw her in too! Bsp #1 is the oldest and shes been in flower for fuck like 3 weeks i started counting flower days on the 4th of july thats when she really started to throw out pistols. Deadhead and the other bsp just went in a week ago, just saw the first pistols on them in the last couple days. I'm counting day one of flower for them as of today. I know i want the dead to get a full 75 days, I've seen the difference that extra few days makes on it firsthand!

  7. lol I almost positive i have the closet light tight now, the true test will be with the inline running if it makes anything move. I took a black pillow case cut it into 4 inch strips and folded so it was double layed then pinned it to the bottom of the door hanging to the floor with some lap on both side so if one get sucked by the fan the other will hopefully keep it light tight. ill have to see thrusday when it gets here but for now it dark as can be. :hello: And the temps are still reaching the same low so i thinks the pillow sheet fabric which was like a cheap silk material will block light but let enough air flow to let the closet cool at night with the door being closed right at light out.

They all are starting to show more pistols, the bsp #1 is already getting frosty little sugar leaves:D and smells amazing.

About this stump tea i'm thinking of trying it out on one plant first ?? Not sure if i should give try mixing less per gallon first or what.Thoughts on that?? heres a link to what i've ordered HTG Supply - Stump Tea hope its as good as they say. :smoke:

  8. Do you need to build a certain dirt for the tea to work properly? I make my own mix and add the Blood and Bone Potash and Super Phosphates, do you need to do that or can it work on straight store bought stuff?:smoke:

  9. I'm really not sure.. i have mixed this soil my self with store bought organic planting soil, organic peat and organic compost manure. idk if that what i should have used but pretty much bought everything the had that said organic:D lol.. oh and some perlite :smoke: it all could be bs but heres hwat they say about the tea.

Stump Tea is a special blend of soil biology and beneficial Mycorrhizae that occurs naturally in the some of the world's most pristine forests. This synergistic mix vigorously inoculates the root zone and boosts metabolic rate by colonizing the roots with billions of "little helpers" that increase root size and production which in turn increases yields! Stump Tea not only has a great mix of biology, but it also incorporates soil conditioners and a few other natural ingredients to make one killer tea. Humic and fulvic acids aid in the uptake of micro and macro nutrients. Molasses feeds the biology so it can thrive. Kelp is an excellent source of natural micro and macro nutrients that are very easy for plants to take in. With all of the key elements that make up a great tea in one instant mix, Stump Tea has done all of the work for you, and ensures a perfect brew every time. Stump Tea is a proven, time-tested recipe that will impress even the most experienced of tea connoisseurs!

    Stump Tea Benefits:

    • 100% safe and natural ingredents create healthier plants
    • Contains beneficial enzymes
    • Helps to produce very lush, deep green plants
    • Aids in the breakdown of nutrients for plant absorption
    • Increases water retenton and enhances nutrient uptake
    • Enhances the taste of fruits and vegetables (raises brix levels)
    • Increases nutrient cycling in the rhizosphere (area around the roots)
    • Helps plants deal with enviromental stresses better, including heat stress and disease (great for fighting harmful fungus)
    • Breaks down toxins in soil and on plants

  10.
What I was trying to figure out is if it is feeding nutes or do you need to do the blood and bone stuff like the rest of us? We put everything in the dirt ourselves that's why we mix and don't buy bagged soil. It's cool cause it can work and you can ease into learning what is happening in the soil. The stump tea is going to grow bacteria that is going to process your nutrients. If the dirt you bought has nutes what is the length of time they say it's good for? it will be timed released, Nuted soils will say 3to 4 month feeding or feeds up to 6 -8 months. If it says nutrition for 4 to 6 weeks, it's not good enough. Likely though, If your soil has nutes it's probably good enough. Just add the tea but I'm not sure. I'll ask one of the guys to pop in on you and see what you have if I can catch one one here while I am.
I would rather work with what you have than have you buy a bunch of stuff, if you need to supplement your nutes during the grow, which we all do sometimes, use the fish emulsions..they go well with the teas from my experiences I usually just put them in the tea.:smoke:

  11. My soil feeds for 6 months it says, the stump tea came today and when reading it says "Bring new life to your soil with stump tea, and let your soil infuse new life into your harvest" so what i get from that is no nutes acually in the tea.? i was thinking give them tea not sure how often to yet but give them tea and feed if i see they need something ? :smoke: about to update a some pics of the gals:hello:

  12. Ok well i was gonna load some pics of all of the gals and my fan filter set up but it wont let me upload pics keeps saying upload error so ill have to do that when the fix gs.

I got my fan all mounted and the filer braced and everything plug it and wow it super load!!!! I'm ok with the fan sound it make but its mounted on the wall and the vibration can be heard all threw the house i went in the other bedroom which backs up to the closet and it sounds like there's a fucking helicopter in the next room. :( I think i'm going to take it down and try putting this Styrofoam siding insulation i have under the mount to see it that helps but if that doesn't work i'm kinda stumped on how to run it and not make it crazy loud threw out my whole house. It doesnt bother me but my mother in law comes to my house daily to watch the little one and even though she wouldnt freak out i dont wanna have to explain the big ass sucking and vibration coming from my room or give her a reason to wanna try to open the door and find out i lock her out everyday lol :D

hopefully i can get this pics uploaded tonight plants are looking good dh is stretching like crazy i have had to move the light twice already this week to keep her tops the distance i want.

so do your downloading and editing, file them and
put the file in one of these programs, be sure to unclick or click what ever makes you not make copies. I use filemind quickfix

Then upload the clean files here,
    photobucket.com
the url code it provides embeds them.

  14. kinda lost i have uploaded them to photobucket now but cant get the url code to drag to the gs sites little upload page or when i copy the url it wont let me paste it. how come before i was able to just upload them from my pic uploader for my camera? i have never had a problem before now??????

took some of the crap off from the bottom not getting light seem to be to congested down there after the pics wanted to make sure she was able to get air flow. Every once in awhile i will go in and move her around a bit and some leaves that were touching others will be wet like they are sweating:confused:
