I think the last Batman was overrated. I mean, the Joker made the movie. Without him, will it really be that good?

Man this film is going to be so sick. Looks like they've done what made TDK so great, they're not trying to make the same film again. Like all the great sequels: Aliens, The Godfather II, Empire Strikes Back, Spider-Man 2. New theme using the same universe. Looks great.

Might just have a spliff and watch Batman Begins now.

im pretty sure im the only person who found the dark knight to be boring.

Batman Begins was pretty great.. aside from the whole batman being a ninja trained by the leage of shadows.. that is just hilarious.

the dark knight could have been shortened a good 45 mins and it would have kept my interest. but to be honest all i really wanted to see was batman being kickass and using fear as a weapon like in the first movie.

It was a little slow at parts i agree, but it still kept my attention fully. And the complex story instead of just kicking ass was what made it fascinating. I think it was the perfect length

Bane was my favorite villain back in the day, and in the Dark Knight comics, he pretty much killed Batman my breaking his back, and that was the end of the series...I think..
There is lots of evidence that Batman gets his back broken in this one, but I'm pretty sure he survives. And I wouldn't be surprised to see him comeback and save the day somehow.
I would actually be really happy if Batman died or was just completely out of commission in the movie, just like the comics, but let's be honest, I highly doubt that's gonna happen.
I also heard that Joesph Gordon-Levitt is going to turn into Robin/Nightwing by the end of the movie. I really hope not, Robin was the worst sidekick imo. I also remember hearing Nolan saying that he will not be introducing a Robin into this series, and this is his 3rd and final Batman.
I can't wait!

Only problem with Rises is that it's starting to look more military. Less artistic and less nice camera angles and lighting.

Thank you I have been saying this! I don't mean to be rude but I think if heath would have not died than tdk would not have gotten the hype that it received

His death may have hyped up the movie more, i won't disagree with that. But it was far from overrated. That movie was a masterpiece.

Sick of reading stuff like that. The Dark Knight was already heavily hyped as the 'blockbuster of the year' and must see long before the news of Heath's death was released. Ever since Batman Begins was released people were clamoring for a sequel. Hell when Heath was first revealed as playing The Joker people were hating on him for being a pretty boy. Then the first trailer was released and everyone couldn't wait.

Heath's death definitely helped with mainstream publicity, but TDK was already being hyped as the best thing since sliced bread. Rightfully so too.
