so lupus makes me incredibly tired, and sometimes cannabis makes it worse. so I get even more tired. lately I have only been eating my edibles at night, bc I dont want to fall asleep since I have people to take care of. but my pain is out of this world, so I really need to start doing it during the day. any suggestions? Maybe an strain that isnt fatigue inducing. FYI I have been taking sativa edibles, but I have some indica, should I Just switch to that? I have got to get this pain under control. and yet not fall asleep during the day. My tolerance is low right now, bc I just got my license and it has been awhile before that I smoked .

Stay with Sativas as they will not make you as sleepy. A Sativa dominate hybrid will help with pain as Indicas are usally a little better for pain. If you can, ask for a strain with a high CBD %.
I don't know if you have access to Dixie Elixirs but they have a product that has no THC but just CBD. I have no idea if they work or not.

I ordered several hundred dollars of the CBD scrips and they didnt do a thing. In fact, i actually felt worse when i was taking them. Complete scam.
Notice that their website no longer has any mention of CBD. There are several negative reviews for this product. please do not support them.

if sativas arent working for you.. try indica.. it may or may not work. also try vaporizing instead of using edibles.. experiment..

I totally understand your situation in regards to pain, fatigue, and having to care for someone else.
I have all the symptoms of Lupus. However, all of the blood test does not confirm what the doctors think. They just keep testing my blood every time I go in for the pain.
I'm a stay-at-home dad with a 4.5 year old and a 2.5 year old boy.
I can't afford to be more tired than I already am.
Here's what has been working for me.
I use Grape Ape for the pain. It's an indica. I love it. However, it does get me even more tired. I use it at night about an hour before I try falling asleep.
I use Jilly Bean during the day. It's a hybrid. It helps relieve the pain while not getting me as tired as Grape Ape.
Boba Fett does nothing for my pain. I'm pretty sure it's a hybrid also.
I have tried other indicas that just make me tired and barely touch my pain. Also, sativas just make me "heady" without pain relief.
You may have to experiment to see what strain works best for you. I had to do some serious test (oxymoron) one weekend when my wife was home. I literally got high all weekend. It was all for the cause.
Now I know what works for me and how much is too much and how much is not enough. I take no more than 2 vapes at a time and vape every 2 to 3 hours. Since it's a little difficult locking the restroom door so my boys don't see me, I bought tincture. I take 2 drops about every 2 hours.
Some people make capsules. Here is a How To Cannabis Capsules – A step-by-step guide.
Check out this website. You can search for strains and see how the strain works for certain symptoms and the effects of the strain. Jillybean Marijuana Reviews - Leafly
Also, have you looked into Rick Simpson's Oil?
I hope this helps.
