Not all the flowers will turn into tomatoes but the ones that will die and show signs soon after the flower falls off

Once the flower is fertilized, it dries up and eventually falls off. The fruit takes a bit to start to grow.

...you'll get a tomatoe shortly after the flower dies... each flower = tomatoe
...the flower appears in search of pollen, once pollinated, you get seeds (in your tomatoes)

Blossom end rot is actually not the rotting of the blossom but the rotting of the tomato at the end where the blossom was before maturing and ripening.

^thats what i thought

another thing to help get better yields is to pinch off your "cheaters"

basically there is a small branch with a bunch of flowers, then a branch of leaves
at the node of these two there is sometimes another branch that starts with leaves, pinching this off causes the plant to put more into fruit production... somehting i only recently learned...
