Okay, I know I'm fixing to receive a ton of hate for this because its asked so much... but I searched and couldn't find what I needed!

I'm doing a stealth grow, probably one or two plants tops! Limited budget to about 300$ or 400$..

First off... what spectrum is needed(best) for autoflowers? 2700k or 6500k?

Also im considering a 150w HPS... which should I go with I am looking for the best results!

I heard its 100w for the first plant and 50w for every other one... but ill probably just use 150w for one plant.

Also... anyone have any good starter auto strain, looking for good yield & potency!

Does anyone have any recommendations or advice?
Thanks guys!

If you run cfl's then it's good to use 5500-6700k during veg, and 2700k spectrum for flowering. But if you're running an hps lamp then that will work fine for the entire grow period, some people use metal halide lights for veg and then switch to hps for flower, my ballast allows me to use both mh and hps in my lamp.

Also im considering a 150w HPS... which should I go with I am looking for the best results!

If you can run the hps I would for sure, your yield will be much greater with hps over cfl's. Hps can get hot, and I see a lot of 150w hps lamps with ballasts built inside, this will run as hot as a 250w hps sometimes just from the heat the the bulb and ballast give off. I actually used one my last grow, you can check that out here ->http://forum.grassci...ml#post15272992. I would check out my new hps/mh set up. It's a 250w hps and metal halide, but I have the option to dim my light down from my lumatek ballast, I can change it to "super lumens", "250 watt", "175 watt", and "150 watt", so you have the extra light if you ever need it.

I heard its 100w for the first plant and 50w for every other one... but ill probably just use 150w for one plant.

This is the general rule, I think it's just a basic guideline for the new growers who think they can grow pot with a 14w cfl. Really you can't have enough light. I go off lumens, each one of my plants get 6000+ lumens, I run a 250w hps/mh.

You can check my current auto grow in my sig. I usually do photoperiod, just harvested nirvana bubble. photoperiod, but my first grow I did Nirvana Short Rider, very small plant but I probably made a ton of mistakes, and only used cfl's. The Super Sonic Cristal Storm by samsara seeds and Afghan Kush Ryder by world of seeds have been wonderful plants to grow, very very easy ->http://forum.grassci...ow-journal.html. Now my Barneys Farm Blue Mammoth has been a bit of a bitch to deal with, nothing too bad, but you wan't to stay away from any strains that might be difficult to grow at all if you're a new grower. Good luck :smoke:
