I've been smoking multiple times daily for about 6 months now and I noticed that if I stay sober for more than 8-10 hours I start to get withdrawal symptoms- among the worst are the headaches. Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just me?

Before everyone goes "weed isnt addicting blah blah blah" dont worry. I know. however, some people can become psychologically dependent on quite anything...I am one of those people.

Thank you

Psychological dependence does not involve a state of physical withdrawal symptoms. If you are getting chronic headaches I would recommend consulting a physician. If they cannot find anything wrong, then I would start to question other things like sleep schedule, diet, etc before you blame cannabis.

I do appreciate your feedback, but my headaches aren't chronic (only when I dont smoke for 8+ hours) and they go away seconds after taking my first hit. I also just had bloodwork done and it came back normal. And trust me, I tried to think of everything I could before I blamed cannabis, because I didn't want to admit to being dependent on it. I wish it was something else instead.

But anyway, I was just wondering if it was just me or other people as well.

I would get tiny annoying headaches after 12+ hours of not smoking. And sometimes I would get pretty bad shortness of breath.

You actually do get withdrawals.

"Marijuana withdraw symptoms include, irritability, anger, depressed mood, headaches, restlessness, lack of appetite, and cravings for marijuana. Symptoms of marijuana withdrawal first appear in serious habitual users within the first 8 hours and are the most noticeable during the first 10 days, but withdrawal symptoms may last as long as 45 days The withdrawal from marihuana is identifiable by behavioral and emotional distress."

I smoke daily several times a day when I got it :) I have migraines but not from smoking.. Smoking actually has been the one thing literally that will ease my migraines. Thank the gods for cannabis! :D :smoke:
