Okay so I have a 15" x 15" x 15" box and have 4 2700k CFL's. The lights are dimensional separated by 3" in depth 4" in width and the cup is 3" in height from the focal point. Is that ample light to grow. I have a few flower seeds I got from Lowes one has sprouted let me know what you think about it's growth. Day 7 from germination mind you.

You should have those under a 3:1 ratio of cfls in there. you should be running 3-6500k and 1-2700k in veg. then when in flowering you flip it so theres 1-6500k and 3-2700k. are you doing 12/12 from seed??

I will switch the CFL's to a 3:1 ratio soon thank you for the advice. Is there any difference in heat from the 2700k and 6500k bulbs? It's on 18/6 lighting as of right now and that's how I plan to continue to veg.

Not really any change in heat, just colors. you want more blue spectrum then red during Veg. so its more like full long days. When in Flower you'll add more red then blue so its more like the end of summer and day light getting shorter. 18/6... cool. wasnt sure if you where trying 12/12 from seed like Ive seen others do but havent tried myself. hope it all goes good. :)

Yeah, So far there just flowers I wanted to see if I could at least get some signs of life(from seed) before I began a true grow. However I think I might grow a few strawberries as well just to up my knowledge.

I hear ya on that.... suck in as much info as you can. how big is your cab? looks about the same size as my 2 flowering cabinets. Im just on my 2nd grow myself and tried with bagseed and lucked out and got 5 fem. Grew them in a rubbermaid stealth box I put together. Now I use that for a veg box and made a cabinet up just for flowering as the bagseed turned out to be pretty good and I took clones. So my 2nd batch is clones while I wait for my other bought ones to take off.

Ahh So you have a bit of a perpetual grow going. Are you doing any LST? Also what soil and nutes are you using? I'm using MG organic with fox farm nutes. The picture I showed was of my vegging chamber I have a box that is 15" x 15" x 52" that will be LED I'm looking at some 90w UFO led lights because it would be perfect for the area. The biggest enemy now is heat. I put a thermometer in there today and it read 100.7F I immediately got it cooled back down to 72.5F where it fluctuated between 72 and around 86 all night. All a learning experience to me but I'm glad to try my hand at being a green thumb. Heck the flower I planted from seed has survived 2 weeks so far I'm obviously doing something right.

Yeah, trying my hand at a perpetual grow. trying to put 2 in flower every 2 weeks. I didnt top or fim my 1st grow but I did lst as they grew 3 times there height after 3 weeks of flowering. at 4th week and on the colas got real big. My temps werent to bad. I was able to keep them in 75-85f range. For soil I just used shultz potting soil which is basically same as MG potting soil. For nutes I just used MG Single shots (24-8-16) for veg and for flowering I used MG UltraBloom (15-30-15). In my last to weeks I fed them water with dark corn syrup( 1 tsp to 1 gallon water).
