I've always been an Atheist, probably because i was brought up by atheist parents. However, my parents they grew up religious. and decided to leave it behind.

But anyway, what caused you to turn your back on religion? was it one moment that totally changed you, or was it more of straw that broke the camels back situation?

When my brother went through a hard time with drugs, he turned to religion for help, and it didn't do shit for him.

And I'm a little too smart to believe in some all powerful being(s) that runs the universe.

For me it was just the lack of proof of god. I figured there would be some solid proof or something.

But that was when I was a kid. I haven't considered myself atheist in years.

Not if the 2012 epidemic happens, not saying we are all goin to die, I'm just sayin it'd prove something about religion, kinda makes sense if you think about it. I don't know it's just a conspiracy

So how do you explain where all of the matter in the universe came from? Matter cannot be created nor destroyed and even the best physicists and related scientists cannot explain it yet.

I don't believe in God, but I'm not an asshole to those who do.

My personal beliefs are that if you don't believe in God (like myself) you can still take the messages/morals within religious texts and apply them to your life to live better.

I'm catholic....I think. I was brought up catholic but I'm open to finding out who was right in the end.

I do believe in a high power. Is it god? Or some kids 4th grade science project?

I could never seem to wrap my head around a magic man who implnted baby jesus into a womens womb and then got some women with wings to tell her she just got fucked by god and is now pregnant. Just my view on how that shit went down.

I don't know how the universe came to be, but I prefer not to speculate because it causes arguments between people.

I've never thought too much about the start of the universe, only heard my friend go on about the big bang theory. Even then that sounds pretty ridiculous. However we were made is not to be known. Scientists who try to find out are wasting their time.

I'm agnostic unsure of anything but I used to be a Christian. I was raised that way as was my parents and their parents before them. I'm a logical person and to me the bible, Christianity doesn't make sense. Science seems more accurate, since most of the theories are proven or has overwhelming evidence, and it answers a lot more than any belief. Basically I just started question everything about Christianity. I don't turn to other religions because they're just farfetched and impossible.

That's my point though. We just don't know. So to criticize someone else's belief of how it started is ridiculous.

Also, according the big bang theory, all of the matter around us was compressed, so it was still existing, so it's still not the start of the universe, but this is starting to get beyond my knowledge of the cosmos
