Wuppertal specifically and I want to know the weed laws
I looked on the web but I got mixed answers
On wikipedia it said it was illegal, and at the end it says it is not illegal so that confused me.

i spent 2 years in germany when i was in the air force, it's great! i don't know about now, but weed wasn't legal when i was there. although, you could take a train to a-dam and have a great time. prostitution is legal there, and the college girls sell it to raise tuition money. boy, i could tell you stories, lol........

The weed is actually not very good these days in germany....from what i've heard from friends. I will be going there my self next year:)
I heard its hard to come by in Germany, but buy a ubahn ticket and take a quick choo-choo ride next door to Amsterdam and you'll have a good time;)

It's illegal in Germany to possess cannabis. But it's not illegal to use it. Where you are going isn't a million miles away from Amsterdam. So a train journey may be your best bet.
Having said that, if you get caught with weed in Germany you will probably just get a slap on the wrists, if that. Use your head and be careful who you ask and where you smoke, just like everywhere else.

Lived in Germany it wasn't too tough to find green, although it wasn't the best quality. A lot of young Germans (at least where I was) hang out in public parks especially at night and you can usually find someone to point you in the general direction. Also most Germans speak english.

A German friend of mine that i get to chill with about twice a year told me that cannabis is in a similar situation as decriminalized weed in the United states. Wikipedia says Germany states can set their maximum limit between 6 and 30 grams. Not sure if that means they could still ban it or not.
So it's not legal but definitely more on the relaxed side of the law.

dude I live in germany, close to Nijmegen (in holland). Weed laws here are a little different per state. Wuppertal is in NRW (north rhein westphalia), so we have the same law. There's a maximum amount of weed you can have on you where they'll confiscate it and give you a fine. It's 10 g in NRW. More than that and well, you're in trouble. But cops here don't actively look for it unless you cross the border.
If you want to go to a coffeeshop take a train/bus from Wuppertal to either doetinchem, Nijmegen, or arnheim, if you're a student it's free tho
If you go to Nijmegen, hit up Kronkel, it's a great coffeeshop. Enjoy germany dude! Viel spass!
P.S: If you're anything like me you're gonna hate how everyone mixes their weed with tobacco here

It is NOT legal to use weed in the Netherlands, including Amsterdam, and it has not been for years.
But the situation this coming summer will still be the same as they have been the last few years, for much of the country.
The new rules are introduced in fases and Amsterdam will be in the last fase as far as known now, planned for 1-1-2013.
