  1. That shit was bonkers...I like it :smoke: I'm not too familiar with the noisier side of jazz, I wish I was though. Here's some controlled chaos, your mileage may vary:

    And a progressive classic:

  3. This thread is exceeding expectations and I'm loving it.

    Here's a video of a guy that I've been talking about playing some shows with recently.

  4. Here's a composition that I just finished the other day, please feel free to leave some feedback!

  5. I'm only halfway through right now, but so far I think it sounds pretty neat. Are these sounds field recordings that you did on your own? I've always wanted to do something like that but I have no idea where to start or what I need to buy really. The drones that start up after a few minutes sound like they could be the soundtrack to your sig to me.

  6. I present to you, Brian Chippendale, in the form of Black Pus :hello:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-spJrh60Kw&feature=relmfu]black pus (c) - YouTube[/ame]

    Some may know him for his work with Mindflayer, Lightning Bolt, or a bunch of other bands. He came up in the same part of the city as I did, and even though he moved away and fell in with the Forth Thunder collective up north, he is definitely still a hometown hero among DIY show supporters where I am at.

  7. Thanks man. Yeah I went down to one of those metal tubes that go underneath a road to let a drainage creek through and recorded a bunch of stuff down there.

    Just get a microphone and start recording dude. It doesn't have to be that good. I just use a crappy usb mike for my laptop and then put the sounds together in garageband.

    Collaboration between Brian Eno and David Byrne of the Talking Heads. Great stuff.

  11. Awesome thread, as soon as I saw you were the creator I knew there would be some quality tunes and I haven't been disappointed..really good stuff.

    Here's some ambient/atmospheric black metal from Louisville, Kentucky.

    These following bands are dark ambient/instrumental neo folk..really easy to get lost in.

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcxSVEUZEiQ&feature=related]Nest - Hunt - YouTube[/ame]

  12. All that's been posted in here so far has been excellent. Time for me to contribute a little:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDiLNXJKULo]Tribal Tech - Saturn 5 - YouTube[/ame]

  13. Here's some (mostly) acoustic doom metal from Chile (I believe)

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8MqTBEkBKg&feature=related]Uaral "The Most Horrible Way of Representing Beauty" - YouTube[/ame]

    And some progressive black metal from France

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SV4vCQGJko&feature=related]Deathspell Omega - Drought (Complete) - YouTube[/ame]

  14. This deserves a much better picture than that lol

  15. Oh, and how could I forget this album? This definitely belongs in this thread.

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvCqSNMa7Dg]Pestilence - Changing Perspectives / Phileas / Demise Of Time - YouTube[/ame]

  16. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNZX0Lz-Iuk]Boris - Huge - YouTube[/ame]

    This band switches up their sound A LOT, but this is a track off my favorite album. Turn up your damn speakers.

  17. Dude. GREAT album.

  18. Yes!!!!! I was stoned off my ass when I first heard the whole album.... amazing and intense experience.

    Yeah, the whole album is great. They have changed things up as of late, but I still listen to Amplifier Worship and Flood all the time. Also, that collaboration they had with Sunn, "Altar" is just...powerful.

    Here is Flood in full:

  20. Yeah man I have that collaboration, great great stuff.

    Have you heard their collaboration with Merzbow "Sun Baked Snow Cave"?

    It's pretty incredible, one of the albums that really fostered my appreciation of noise and drone in general. I might have to upload it honestly because there's only a crappy ten minute clip of it on youtube and the piece is a full hour long.
