I've been out of the pc gaming scene for a few years now, seems like everything has changed and I feel as useful as a 90 man

I want to build up a very cheap rig for only gaming. I want to play diablo 3 but can't justify spending 1500 for one game. Any suggestions where I should get started?

make it an ati/amd build to keep the price down, Ati, radeon hd 5670 1g model is a good budget card.

I built a gaming pc a couple weeks ago with Diablo 3 in mind. Only costed me about 550 not including monitor/os. Runs d3 flawlessly on high settings.

I used an i3-2120 w/ an hd 7770. Figured I could always upgrade down the line and save some money.

Look around on Toms Hardware website, they have a pc build forum with tons of help if you are new to it.

With the price of technology, it's pretty easy. Go with an AMD quad core, with a good motherboard, some DDR3-1600, and a GTX460, or equivalent GPU. Honestly shop around. Make a list on Newegg. I upgraded everything in my old gaming rig except the case, keep the HDDs, but added another, and was using the old 680w PSU until it fried. I spent $400 ish dollars on my setup and it ran Battlefield 3, and Crysis 2 on Max AA, res, and everything.

id say this, playing only D3 anyhow your liikely to get bored of it within a few weeks so your not gonna wanna drop a grand on a game that has a short life span.

Just realize that it doesnt come with a Graphics card, so you still need to buy one of those.

Good luck man

True story^^^ But you will more than likely be able to find a good one for less than 100 dollars that will run D3 well.

Check
Pricewatch - Web's first Price Comparison site. Find the lowest price, deals on tech and more and look under components for Video cards. and Also double check with Newegg if you want a more intuitive look @ the cards you see listed.
