I was just out of the shower getting ready for work when I got the call.. My sister was crying and I knew something was wrong. I was asleep for most of the day because I work night shifts, and didn't know she left to go to the hospital.
He was working in hot weather, and had a heat stroke. His boss didn't realize what was going on and put him in his truck with the air conditioning on, and told him to keep drinking water. They said a few minutes later he came out of the truck and collapsed on the lawn in front of them of a heart attack.
He's not my real brother, a step brother, but i've known him since I was 7 yrs old and it hurts. Last night was real rough on the whole family. I woke up this morning expecting to see him there but hes not, and I don't know what to say to anybody in my family.

He was only 28. Still had his best years ahead of him.

There is nothing i can really say to ease your pain brother, but stay strong, grieve in your own way and in your own time, and maybe try to honour his memory in all your future deeds.

i am truly feeling for you brother. i would recommend not to smoke for a couple ok weeks, maybe months for that matter. it hurts more when you come down and realize that shit didn't get any better. The next time you do though, dedicate it to your bro. He'll be right there toking with you, trust me, i used to burn with my grandma all the time after she passed. used to sit there talking to her invisible resurrection, i knew she was there.

Exactly. This is what pisses me off. There was 2 company bosses on the jobsite, but no safety rep. Someone should have realized he was dehydrated and got him to a hospital. He might be here with us today if they noticed.

Fuck man, I'm so sorry.
Having lost close loved ones I know the pain all to well.
Sadly, what I say here likely won't do to much.
Stay with your family, grieve, and remember all those good memories you have had with him. He was taken far far to early.
My sincere condolences to you and the whole family.
Us blades are here for support man, stay strong
Tonight I will dedicate a vapor session in his name

I am honestly sorry to hear that op. My friend lost a cousin the same way a year ago.
Maybe you can make sure workers are reminded of heatstroke so nobody else has to lose a brother.

Sorry for your loss man. The way you describe it I think your family might have a court case. They didnt take the precautions they should have. Even though it wont bring him back now id maybe talk to a lawyer to see if you can do anything to the company. Once again im sorry.
