I had just got out of the gym after a hard weight lifting workout and cardio and I was sweating hard and heart rate up and I dashed across the street because I'd have to walk 1/2 mile to the nearest light. Then the cop came out of nowhere, and basically accuse me of using a stimulant. I told him no I didn't, I showed him my gym card and told him go ask the lady there and he called me a liar. And then that 'okay I believe you went to the gym, but your still using it' He made me close my eyes count to 30 and I did it, he claimed I only counted for 15, which is bullshit, this is where I started moreto say fuck it, and I turned away from him like I'm not dealing with this bs anymore. Then he gave me the ticket j-walking and said I had to go straight home or he would take me to jail. But I still went and picked up some cigs cause I was pissed. I have to go to court for jaywalking.

Rule #1:
Don't give them a reason.
Oh and a stimulant? lmao, that wouldnt cause you to jolt across the street. Maybe slide like putty across the street.

I don't understand jaywalking in the slightest (English), what the fuck is it? Your police just don't trust you to cross the road or something?

wiki
Jaywalking is an informal term commonly used in North America to refer to illegal or reckless pedestrian crossing of a roadway. Examples include a pedestrian crossing between intersections (outside or, in some jurisdictions, also inside a marked or unmarked crosswalk) without yielding to drivers and starting to cross a crosswalk at a signalized intersection without waiting for a permissive indication to be displayed. In the United States, state statutes generally reflect the Uniform Vehicle Code in requiring drivers to yield the right of way to pedestrians at crosswalks; at other locations, crossing pedestrians are either required to yield to drivers or, under some conditions, are prohibited from crossing.

Jaywalking is one of the shittiest laws we have to put up with, I never knew it was enforced until now though.
Did he get you on camera? Dude, delay the fuck out of your trial, beat the ticket! Fuck swine!

(English here too) Jaywalking is a ridiculous crime. I understand why they don't want pedestrians just walking on the road, but making you go to court for it is such a waste of resources. When I was in Vegas I even saw signs that said that jaywalkers would get a $1000 fine. Ridiculousness, seems like just another thing to make you all feel like you're ruled by the police. Sorry to hear about all that man.

In a way I agree with the jaywalking laws, but more-so for younger kids. I mean if a kid just starts running across the street and a car hits him he pretty much ruined the drivers life (even though the driver may have killed the kid). It wouldn't have happened if the kid used the crosswalk. All I'm saying is jaywalking definitely has the potential to get yourself killed and send someone to jail because of your own actions.

While I have jay walked many times, and don't necessarily think it should be such a big deal. I have seen dumbasses jolt right in front of cars causing a potential dangerous situation and that shit pisses me off. Pedestrians DO NOT have the right of way when jay walking. It's that simple

I know that jaywalking is dangerous sometimes, which is why I don't mind getting the ticket, but hey, it better not be an arm and a leg and a left nut like someone said $1000 here. Fuck that! I was more pissed about being accused of the felony which cannot be spoken here. I don't know if this guy was a retard or a complete asshole.
Well, just checked and it's gonna cost about $100-$175. Damn =/
