I bought this today :) I love this thing so much already.Got it for 6k after I was done with the guy. Original flathead 6 motor with 45k miles on it I'm very proud of this, first car I've bought without anyone helping me with loans and such. Had people turning their heads all the way on the drive home :D

6k is amazing for an old fashioned car in such good condition. The whole thing is pretty fresh, do you live in Cali? The houses just look like Cali houses

I wouldnt use that as a daily drive to keep it in good condition.. if that is the original motor and it only has 45k miles that is good in my opinion and i will keep it at as low as i can unless your using it as a daily driver do whatever makes u happy

and for 6 grand that sounds like a good deal but i have no idea there can be some problems that you really cant see like rust or other shit i really dont know lol

I'm in Az, I had to drive pretty close to the border of Cali to pick it up tho and I took the pictres there.

No way will it be my daily, it'll be parked in the garage constant. And yeah the roof has a few pinspots of rust, but I'm taking care of it, I've already sanded it down and none of the spots were bad enough to where I didn't have to do anything except sand it. The paint on the side not shown is a little rough to. I'm repainting it this weekend to take care of the spots I sanded, I'm going to do a candy apple red with some flake to make it pop a little more.

And I did a partial trade with the guy, I gave him a Chevy 454 motor that I rebuilt about a month ago.

And this is ironic, because I was watching Home Imporvement while I was writing this, and they were rebuilding a studebaker commander :)

That was back in the days when cars were cars and you could work on them. Everything's all computer and sensor bullshit now. They build them so more stuff can go wrong with them.

Im not denying it but more than likely theres more than 45k on the car. Those old odometers just roll back over to 0 after 100,000, and its not very hard to pop out the odometer and roll it back. I could be wrong but thats with my experience, but none the less thats a great deal and good luck with it.

That's what I thought to :( no way to tell for sure though. The guy had a lot of maintence records from 1976 when he bought it to current though and those showed 20000 when he bought it. Just to be on the safe side though, I'm bringing a friend over and were just going to pop the engine out over the weekend and do a rebuild. He's help me install a new power steering system too, so it should work out fine :)

Nice wheels.
Living in the UK our climate doesnt let these cars last without constant welding and garaging but good job I'm good at both now!
Mine ar only '70s cars!

It looks on great condition, but almost seems too good to be true, did you check all the "rust zones" and areas where rid is commonly painted over?
Car looks amazing man, defiantly would get some chicks with that, pure class!!

What kind of cars are they? I love British cars, my dream is to get a right hand drive Austin Healey imported over here. But like you said, it's hard to find good condition British cars. Even in places like Seattle over here, all the cars are rustbuckets. I'm in the middle of the desert, so when they sit they paint strips, but there's hardly any rust.

I said in an earlier post already, but I took all the trim off and sanded it down to check, and there were a few pinspots, but not much. I already have it reprimered with an appointment for next Monday for new paint. Setting me back another $650 for paint, but I wanted to make sure there was no rust.
