Not sure if this should be in this section but anyway. This is very out there but I have been thinking that seeing as lemonene is found in lemon and also found in cannabis and has an anxiolytic effect, could soaking the bud in lemon juice then drying it or even grating and drying the peel and adding it to cannabis help add an anxiolytic effect?

I have no idea if this is safe, it may be toxic for all I know, so don't anyone try it. I do think it was an interesting thought that I should share though.

And this doesn't just go for lemon, lianool in lavendar (I think) also has an anxiolytic effect and also found in cannabis. There are also numerous more terpinoids with all sorts of differen't effects. Whether safe to combine with cannabis, who knows, it doesn't have to be smoked as the main route afterall.

But yeah, might be a bit of a crazy idea, want to hear what you guys opinion on this is.

No. You'd have to chemically isolate the terpene and that's not something that happens from grating the peel or squeezing the juice. You have all kinds of other substances -like sugar- that would caramelize and burn and ruin the weed.

That makes sense, thanks. I would be guessing extraction would be out of reach of most peoples abilities too.

BadKittySmiles posted a Hash Oil extraction method based on citric acid that might fit well with what your looking for. It might not be to hard to make a nice drinkable MMJ-Lemmonaid or Lemmon Candy since you sound willing to consider going in that direction instead of smoking it. Lemmon Bars should be particularly easy since Lemmon Zest is a key ingredient.

there are better pharms for anxiety that go well with marijuana and are probably easier to procure.

Becareful of that. If the anti-anxiety medication affects Nor-epinephrine it could be unpleasant to mix it with MMJ depending on how large of a dose is being perscribed and how much MMJ is being used because MMJ can also affect Nor-epinephrine. A little bit is good, a little more might or might not be a little better, but to much is to much no mater how you get there.

I have been addicted to benzos for a year and have been clean for months, worst expirience of my life. I am also getting off opiates now, not fun either. Think I might steer clear of "pharms" I'd rather get my medicine from a "farm" lol.

Anyway, I was reading the some people have had expirience smoking essential oils, I have no idea how safe it is, but linalool and limonene are anxiolytic and can be bought in the form of essential oils. I also saw a thread of someone flavouring buds, I don't think the had any idea that there could be health benefits though. I wonder if adding essential oils like limonene and linalool could produce more of an anxiolytic bud, because that would be cheap and awesome!

What do you guys think?

Personally, I think buds should be left alone and that playing garage chemist can be a very dangerous thing.

I respect your opinion but if you are going to try discourage me (and I am not going to attempt anything unless I know it is completly safe) please offer some information to show that it actually is dangerous.

So far all I have thought was dropping a drop or two of said oils into a jar and not onto the buds and seeing if they infuse after a while and create a more anxiolytic smoke.

Where would we be if we didn't try unconventional things?

I was unaware you could vape them, I guess that cuts out the danger of smoking it all together!

Is it safe to have the cotton ball in there though? Have you smoked them your self?

linalool in lavendar.. seems safe to smoke and have seen a few reports saying it is relaxing and tastes really nice. Wish I still had some plants, I would dry them out and give them a go. Might try find some oil and vape it and add it the buds too and smoke them.

Go ahead and be the guinea pig if you're that determined, that part is up to you. I guess I'm not understanding why you feel the need to soak buds in anything when it's easy to get the terpenoids you want by eating natural substances.
