I am looking to read a book about people who turned to a life of crime in any form, preferably drug trade and inner city scenarios.

I would prefer it be autobiography/biography.

Thanks guys! :hello::wave:

Eddie Bunker, Hubert Selby Jr, Jean Genet. All of their work deals with criminality in some way.

American Desperado by Evan Wright, its an autobiography of Jon Roberts. He was in the documentary Cocaine Cowboys, but the book also covers his earlier life as well.

Hands down the best book I have ever read.

Not really crime. But the book "black players" is a good book to read about pimps in the northern California bay area San Francisco area. Two anthropologist wrote it in the 70s, it was reprinted about two years ago.
