I have a few questions that I would like some to chime in on.
Flower Room Setup:
76" X 76" Tent
3' X 6' Flood Tray
45 Gallon Res
2 - 600 Watt HPS Air Cooled (Pulled from last light in line @ vented into the attic, No scrubber) Digital, Dim-able, Switchable
GH 3 Part Basic
Flood 6X/24 Hrs.
Strain(s)
Amnesia
White Widow
I have 4 mothers under a 600 watt HPS Digital, Dim-able, Switchable. I know that a MH would be better, and that will be what happens once this HPS bulb burns out. The mothers are doing exceptionally well under the HPS so I am content with this for the time being.
They are in doubled up 5 Gallon Buckets with holes drilled in the bottom of the top bucket for drainage. The Medium is a mix of Espoma, and a Compost locally made. FF Grow Big is used @ 2 tsp/Gallon every other watering.
My experience has been with DWC in the past. This is my first attempt at a Flood and Drain SOG. The thought to fill the table up with the 4 per sq ft, veg for 1 week, before starting 12/12. 72 plants would fill the table up.
Problem 1:
My first cloning attempt was a half failure. Trying to do that many plants in domes is just a big pain in the butt. Many cuttings died as a result. I definitely wanted to fill the tray up so I got an aero cloner and started more cuttings.
Amnesia was the strain that survived the cloning process more than the White Widow. The new White Widow clones will be ready to go from the cloner to the tray in about 3 more days. The Amnesia in the tray will be about 3 weeks older than the White Widow Cuttings going in the tray 3 days from now.
Questions:
I know it is hard to tell from the pics, but do you think I will have enough vertical space to bud the Amnesia? It is a mostly sativa strain, so I hope this helps.
Problem 2:
I screwed up by running this table with 5.5" net pots. Very slight algae is forming on the roots. I will use a more suitable container next run so that the roots stay in. For now I would like to salvage this cycle obviously. What should I do to keep the algae down to a minimum, or get rid of it entirely? I thought about covering the table with black plastic sheeting, but it would be a pain to try to cut all those openings. From what I researched, algae does not really harm anything, but it irritates me. I try to keep the room temps as low as I possibly can which is about 72 degrees. That is with a window ac running 24/7.
Questions:
What should I do to get rid of the slight algae?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
