Hey everyone,

So in about a week I'm going to be moving to my own apartment. (Please do not tell me not to grow in the apartment)

Anyways, I have no experience what so ever of being a ganja farmer. Looking for any tips, advice or input.

Got a couple question of my own though.

- What do you recommend to grow in? Seen a couple of those tents or stealth boxes, looks pretty interesting.

- I plan on having just only a few plants so what kind of strain would you recommend? I'm kind of worried about smell, and the size. Id like something that would get me ripped, dosen't smell too much, produces alot of bud for a decent sized plant.

Any of your comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:smoke:

Don't grow in an apartment.. Just kidding.

Once you decide on how big of an OP you want then you should decide on a strain, personally I am going to be using a PC case.

:DOk, first you're gonna need to get some seeds, and some dirt, and then add water and light and in four months you'll have enough weed to feed your entire neighborhood; good luck on your first grow, please forward all questions to

Do you actually use the PC case until you harvest? I was just thinking it looks a bit too small... That's like only 1 plant you can grow in there right?

I am going to try 2 smaller plants, I know yield won't be impressive.. I am only growing for personal use but I am currently working on a 2nd case because I have most of the supplies kicking around.

Wouldn't mind going up to $500. I saw your your DIY growbox thread. Would I be able to use around the same sized or bigger to grow from begging to end?

You can do well with $500, that's pretty much the budget for a 250w digital 2'x2' grow done properly, from beginning to end. (with grow materials and carbon filter)

Do you have any specific questions that weren't addressed in my thread?

$500 will definitely get you going. For just over $600, i got my entire 4x4 tent setup with absolutely everything i needed.....600w mh/hps light with cool tube, fan and filter, soil, nutes, seeds, etc.

My best advice is to keep it cheap and simple with the nutes and invest yoir money in the best equipment you can afford. I used the Lucas formula for my first grow: a $23 pouch of GH Maxibloom, some ph up and down and a little cal/mag is all you need for the entire grow. I splurged for a $20 bottle of Koolbloom to use as a bloom booster, but its unneccessary. Instead of spending $150-200 of your budget on some of the nutrient packages out there, you could do 10-15 small grows for less than $50 total for nutrients. This gives you an extra $50-150 to put into your setup. I had fantastic results with this method and found it super newbie-friendly. You can check out my grow journal in my sig for more details on my setup and results as it sounds like you will be running something very similar.

Feel free to pm me with any questions, and good luck getting up and running! :)

Rollex, you probably won't get any responses to your post. It is deemed very disrespectful to grow in your parents home by most here at GC! Just a heads up bro!

Sorry that's not really an answerable question without knowing alot of other variables first. I'd say get some hps lighting maybe a 250 or 400 watt. How much space are you planning to dedicate? I also live in an apartment and it hasn't stopped my setup on bit. I cut a cut a piece of drywall the size of the board covering the attic then cut a couple wholes in it for my ac exhaust and my room/hood exhaust that gets pulled through a carbon filter and reflectors. One thing about growing in an apartment is you have to be on to of any potential smell issues long before they come up or ur sure to get caught. I'm medical and my neighbors are good Christians without a clue still and I plant to keep it that way. Sorry to ramble on your threat good luck with your grow.
