Okay, we all have been in the situation when you go to pick up some fox farms or nutes and the people always ask you what your use is....Whats a plant thats similar to cannabis and that you can use as a cover story when you're buying products?

Are you being serious...?

Palm tree sprouts look nothing like cannabis...

take it easy man. I was just messing, if you want a proper answer to your question, then here...

I think tomatoes are a good one, or you could say you wanna see how they work with the mint youre growing on your windowsill, perhaps youve got a vegetable garden and youre looking to boost growth? i dunno man...

but chill the fuck out... smoke a joint or something.

Tell them you need them for you plants.

Or don't say shit but "I need ____ here is money".

I don't think most hydro stores and the like would even ask, unless you started to try and get advice.

And do chill the fuck out. If your this tense over buying dirt how are you going to handle doing something illegal?

I've never been asked what I was growing. I've gotten great help at my local hydroponic store and have asked questions about my grow, and never once was asked what it was I was growing.
I'm pretty certain they assumed what it was, but I've never has to deal with that.

I have a hydro shop about 20 miles from my house, its farther then most others but theres a number of reasons I prefer to go there. Ironically the owners name is Bud and he went to Humboldt University and got a degree in horticulture. If there not busy he will openly talk with me about pot and the strains he`s currently growing and ask what strains I`m growing.

That's pretty chill, im kinda jealous. I have encountered the same thing once before kinda...a guy selling me nutes knew what I was using them for and discussed his methods.

You really don't have to be nervous going into places like that, stay away from chains and stick to mom and pop garden centres and hydro shops. I work at one and we aren't stupid lol they'll happily help you get the things you need for whatever. don't outright say your doing what your doing (out of respect, if you build up a rapport with them then maybe its cool) but I know that most people who ask what to use to "clone tomato's" arnt cloning tomato's... Most people who work in those places just love gardening and will gladly help you along
