Hi guys just thought I would post a quick one before our seeds poke through and we start our journal

First time growing so help all the way will be needed Im sure!

We currently have 5 Pineapple Chunk Fem seeds in one of these..

http://www.1st-hydro...it.jpg&size=414

Completely blacked out but there is a low wattage bulb spotted over the propagator keeping the temps at a steady 75. Keep opening it daily for air exchange. Been in their 48 hours and eagily awaiting them popping though now :D

Once they pop we have a 200w maxibright cfl ready to veg them out then once they have a good root system in the 4 inch pots we will be moving them over to our 600w hps 1.2m squared tent :devious:

We have been advised on some 60/40 coco/clay pebble media and also been told not to feed till they start to veg out under the hps.

Think thats it for now... anyone sees anything we are doing wrong or any advice would be great.

Thanks all, speak soon

A. add about 10% Earthworm casting for a good buffer

B. switch from Hydroton to Perlite .. you're gonna toss the Coco when done ..might as well toss the stuff that's cheap.

He can wash the coco and reuse it...

Go with all hydroton, tried and true. Havent heard much about perlite, mostly in aeroponics. Also you FLOWER with HPS but vegging can be done with HPS for super-dense nugs.
