Ancient Egyptian Electricity?
#1

It's been apparently been proved by chemistry and physics and states that the Ancient Egyptians were an advanced civilization, not a primitive one. They had vast knowledge of chemistry, physics, and math and were able to use the elements to create electricity through the pyramids which would shoot light straight to the far reaches of the ionosphere.
Here is the video I watched. I should say, I have no idea if anything this guy says is true about the pyramids but it seems to make sense scientifically. What do you think?

It was stated that the Egyptians must have used electricity to light the pyramids as there is allegedly no soot from torches to be found within them. Completely untrue, its easy to find at various places in all tombs and pyramids.
"...The many 100 m long tombs in the Valley of the Kings were definitively lighted with oil lamps and wicks, since we have protocols about wicks and lamps handed out to the workers each day from the Valley of the Kings - where it was carefully documented how many wicks of what length, and how much oil was given to each worker - there is no mystery at all how these tombs were illuminated. There is no place for pharaonic flash lights..."

A load of tosh, hardly a word is true. The video's first request is that we 'abandon all evolutionist nonsense and prejudice', then to accept that the Egyptians were advanced beyond their time. Not sure why we need to forget evolution to make an AA claim, but, the Egyptians were no more or less advanced than they should have been. Some of their knowledge came from previous and parallel civilisations, some came from long observation over a 2 thousand year history. The ancient world really wasn't the savage and uneducated place some seem to think, but there is no evidence at all that they had 'highly advanced technologies' that was beyond their capabilities or earthly knowledge.

Did you really even watch the whole video?
You say there is no evidence of them using sophisticated technology, yet what about the Baghdad battery?
It's rather apparent the ancients had knowledge of electricity.. let alone the fact that the pyramids are nearly identical to Nikola Teslas Tesla Coils..
And the reason it says to drop evolutionary thinking is because evolution tries to make a monkey out of human beings and tells us we're improving and becoming smarter, yet if you look at the real history of man it shows we're actually running downhill, becoming weaker and dumber.

Its funny how you are so adament about logic and proof when it cokes to evolution but other believes require much more faith and have less evidence but you eat them up like candy.
"Evolution isn't convincing enough but I believe everything started fully formed and that ancient egyptans has Tesla coils"
How do you not see an error in your logic?

Have you ever heard of the Baghdad battery?
The ancient civilizations had working batteries, doesn't this strike you as interesting..?

Tesla coils, LOL! Tell me how they managed that with only copper to hand and no other metals?

I watched the entire video. The Baghdad battery is real. What isn't real are the rest of the assumptions that the movie makes, such as the idea taht there is no soot anywhere in any Egyptian building. As this is such an easy thing to disprove it shows that the movie-maker lacks both knowledge and the ability to research. You have to ask yourself who would make such a movie without first having checked their facts?
Even if there is soot in the pyramids, that's being quite nit-picky don't you think?
I feel you missed the entire part where they compare the conductive properties of the pyramids and the schmematics are near identical to Tesla's technique of using aquifers as energy sources.

Umm gold..? It's quite a conductive metal last time I checked..

LOL! Your grasp of ancient Egypt and electronics is even worse than your grasp of evolution and geology. Why do you keep doing it to yourself?
Nit picky?
As for gold being useful in making a Tesla coil...seriously? I'm a fan of Tesla and an Egpytologist, you live in a world of fantasy:) The 'conductive properties of the pyramids'? I have rarely met someone so gullible.

Nit picky? The whole premise of the movie is based on the idea that there is no soot ANYWHERE in the pyramids from the worker's torches. That has been entirely disproved. Would you care to give some reasons why you think they had Tesla coils, if this has been debunked?

Ad hominems once again rather than addressing what's being discussed..
If there is soot in the pyramids, which I don't doubt there is, why don't you link to something people can read about it?
Even if there is soot, how would that disprove anything? We have electricity today, yet many people still will use candles or torches.. doesn't mean we don't have electricity.
As you said yourself there is the Baghdad battery which proves they had knowledge of electricity..

The Baghdad Battery, which supposedly used electricity to electroplate metal objects with a layer of gold, at best demonstrates a limited understanding of electricity. It really works more on the premise of "If we mix all this shit together, look what happens!"
Let's say it WAS an amazing piece of technology. Revolutionary. There is only a single fucking set in the world. I've got 5 types of batteries in my damn kitchen drawer, as do hundreds of millions of other people. That is the difference between a technologically advanced society, and a primitive society that is still developing early technologies.

it's not that difficult to understand.. just takes basic understanding of electricity.

Edit: Oh that video is so bad, my brain hurts!

BTW, evolution has been proven. What do you think caused MRSA to become to powerful, an act of god? That's bonafide evolution right there.

This is kinda dumb, considering virtually everything generates electricity.

Actually it hasn't been "proven" but odds are is that they are correct.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to argue. It's established that the ancient Egyptians had knowledge of electricity and knew how to conserve and use it. So what is all so far fetched exactly?
