This will be my 5th crop, I have grown with soil from seed the whole time. I wanted to try SCroG because I always liked the idea of a real bushy plant, like a hedge. I have been FIM'ing every top I see!

I have 2 plants that I harvested that are re-vegging(and quite well I might add), and a plant in veg started from seed. I have used the FIM technique on every single top I see, I FIM'd after the first 4 shoots, and I got 2 tops after that. I let it go for a week, then it had 4 new tops. I FIM'd every last one of them. The re-vegging plants have been subject to the same treatment after the new growth developed new shoots.

I'll post updates every few days.

Here's some pics

In the second picture, you can see very small and shot shoots with small fan leaves. Should I prune these small branches?

For vegging, I use MiracleGro Liquid 12-4-8 fert combo'd with 5 pebbles of dolomite lime, 1TBSP pure brown sugar, and a couple drops of this StartRight water conditioner.
For flowering, I use MiracleGro Crystal 15-30-15 solution(I have two boxes that are years old so I don't know if they are even on store shelves anymore), a couple pebbles of dolomite lime, 2TBSP Pure Brown Sugar, and a couple drops of the StartRight.
These are the only nutes I have been using, suggest more if you think they'd help. I would like very much to expand my nute collection with natural things like the sugar and lime.

Subbing for support. It's lonely in here!
Good luck. Why the brown sugar?
Zoom out some, itll make what we're looking at clearer. Or tap your autofocus.

I've read some wonderful things about fish emulsion during veg, for organic nutes. I've been reprimanded for using Miracle Gro products also. Really high in nitrogen, like an all-purpose grass nute. But then again so is fish emulsion, plus the high levels of toxic metals like cadmium and mercury that fish ingest..

Sorry about the low quality, I used video to get my pictures as I lack a still camera. I use brown sugar as a subsitute for molasses after I saw my friend pouring it on the soil in an outdoor grow and found that it made my bud mass explode. Did a little more research on molasses, and it seems to look like a good all-around nute. I figure they're similar enough.

I would love to do this, I've been thinking of adding some fish extracts to the roster of nutes. I just worry about fish caught in the Pacific because of Fukishima! Call me an over-exaggerator, but I don't want radiated babies! :D

UPDATE: I just got finished hanging the new SCroG net I made with 3/4in PVC. It's 20"x30" and it looks absolutely beautiful! :D
The new net allows much further light distribution and penetration, and the shiny new chain system makes it very adjustable!
Here's what it looks like:

Lookin a little droopy, have you figured out why? Also pretty dry medium in that bottom video, the dirt looks sandy. Mines ALWAYS moist.. I hope I'm not encouraging root rot.
Gonna look more into SCroG'n now. So far I've just been topping mine and using LST on the two smaller ones, I have plenty of materials to make a scrog net, maybe I should. I supercropped a little yesterday but broke 2 of 6. They just aren't bushy enough to play with much yet.
Thanks for the videos

Glad someone appreciates them. Root rot has been a problem since my first grow, always infecting at least one plant a crop. Good eye, I did actually use sand 3 or 4 crops ago in my medium and have kept it since. I find with spegnum moss and MiracleGro organic soil it still holds waaaay too much water, even in the pots without sand in the medium. I'm pushing it watering the stuff in this soil every 4 days!
I'm thinking of using honey to attack the root rot, though.still have more research to do.
and I say net it up! I haven't seen these kind of results from previous plants.
I personally think SCroG eliminates the need for all the bending and such seeing as it gets all of the LST it needs in the net, but my power bar fell on one of the plants and cracked that bitch in half, but today, it looks like nothing happened.

Today I bought some Fish/Guano fert I'll be replacing the MiracleGro liquid fert with. I hope it helps! I'm also going to apply some honey at the base of the stems to see if it clears up some stem rot. Video coming up.

I think the droopy guys are from the previous veg cycle, like 6 month old leaves, but I'm not sure.

Awesome video, great job.
I completely identify with your excitement and disappointment with the rot. Hope you figure that shit out. Gonna think about making a video of my own now, and definitely going to put my extra clock radio in with my babies.
I just switched to 12/12 for my 2 big ones and moved my 2 smaller LST projects back under 24/0 florescent. Excited to see my first buds, i hear 2-3 weeks.
It's really awesome to hear that you've gotten such unexpectedly good results from the FIM'ing, I JUST recently watched some youtube videos from G420G and some college about it, and decided to try it on my newest growth from a late topping. Hoping for comparable results.

:hello:I appreciate the praise very much!:hello:
good plan on the radio, it adds a nice ambiance regardless of what"s playing.
I'd say definitely use a little brown sugar or molasses in the water for flowering, it fattened some of the nugs up like I never expected. I also heard 13/11 for the final 2 weeks can be beneficial as it provides that little extra hour for optimum final growth. I know I'm gonna try it.
The FIM is awesome, I see new tops every single day on the same branch I FIM'd the day before!

Nice tip, will probably switch to 13/11 a week after I see buds.
Sprinkled brown sugar in the soil tonight while my cousins looked at me like I was a fucking retard, lol. It's their first night sleeping in to flower, I wanted to do somethin special.
Can't sleep now, I wanna check the FIM'd spots from yesterday as soon as they wake up.
Do you set an alarm for them so they dont have music during night cycle? =D

Nope, just slept with it on. FIM can take a day or two, and it's good for most phenotypes/strains, so i think it will have beautiful results! I saw my friend pouring it on his backyard plants and I just thought what the hell is this guy doing?
Month later homie had a 1/2 pound from 2 plants!
