I was wondering if there was a method of burning off THC and leaving CBD. I know the more you process the more the THC will be degraded into CBN, but that means that if you dont have a strain with high CBD/THC ratio you'll have to get CBN with CBD. Is there a way to minimize the CBN as well? First of all I would like to know what would be the best way to ensure the most CBD and the least THC regardless of having it degraded into CBN. I can take that at night for insomnia. But if I wanted to take it during the day and not have it make me feel sleepy or tired I guess I would need just CBD and not CBN right?

my best idea is to cook the bud in the oven at thc's vaporization temperature for a very short amount of time, to get rid of as much thc as possible without losing CBDs which should have a higher temp of vaporization.
if vaped off, the thc cannot remain as itself or one of its byproducts, right? unless it has a higher vape temp once it degrades into CBN.. any chemistry guys wanna help out lol

just vape your bud first non, you will need a lot of bud for the oil/butter/tincture to be effective, but cbd boils at a higher temp than thc, so vaped bud is what you need.
when making edbiles out of vaped herb its a relaxing body high for the most part (depending on how drained your herb is), but if you say you want to stay awake, i don't think high cbd edibles are good for that..

^^ this.
THC is vaped off at lower temps than CBD and CBN, so just save up your lightly vaped bud to make edibles and you should get a nice turnout.

I tried making brownies with the spent vaped weed and I have to say the effect was much different than vaping or smoking. Pretty clear head yet really good pain relief - but the pain relief will probably only be as good as the weed your started with.just vape your bud first non, you will need a lot of bud for the oil/butter/tincture to be effective, but cbd boils at a higher temp than thc, so vaped bud is what you need.

AWESOME!!!!!!!! thanks all.
so.. another THEORETICAL way could also be drying the bud in a dehdrator at low tmperatures for such a long time that cannabinoids degrade. which ones degrade first? who knows. in this case is high heat even necessary if even raw (unheated about 115F) cannabinoids can be degraded with the right amount of time? i wonder how long. I'm thinking of a way that would be good and still keep th ebud raw because im too obsessive with being raw lol. Just kidding but no really this is intriguing and migh tprove to be really useful if there are advantages to consuming it raw, and making it bioavailable through some kind of low heat solving process.
