Nice job man. Everything looks just fine imo. My babes looked very similar to yours around the same time.
The next three days you will see the new set of leaves really growing big and wide, and out growing the initial set of leaves. What happens next, i have no idea, but i am expectant.
Good idea on starting the plants in 3.5 gallon pots. No transplanting concerns there.
All in all you have all the makings for a successfull grow - The MH for veg, and HpS for flowering, good soil mix(imo). WHat are you doing about ph levels. Anything or are you going to leave that aspect for the next grow. Im trying to get a ph meter and up/down solutions. It really is a requisite for a good grow.
Hope the 18/6 schedule suits your needs. Im sticking to 24/0 throughout or atleast till the last 2 weeks of flowering.
Will be following your updates. Good luck

I thought i would have that too worry about to. Gets very hot here in the summer months. Sub tropics. i have my box in an aircooled room, and the temps in the grow area fluctuates between 76 and 84, staying nearer the middle at 80 most of the time.
From what i read that should be fine. Its warmer than ideal, but i believe a bit of extra warmth is easy for plants to adapt to.
I've heard of the technique before but never done it myself. I saw a thread on it last week actually. So you might have better luck looking it up.
Better safe than sorry. Tried and tested methods everytime. If you want to guarantee a yield that is.
Later
Hey guys i got a question... I have a large tray that all 4 of my plants are sitting in and i was told I will be able to water my babies by pouring straight into this tray rather than the standard method. Has anyone ever watered this way and is it a good idea or not? I think I will be able to water in another 3 or so days... Thanks your thoughts would be helpful
Hey,
Nice looking babies bro.
I would say don't just pour water into the bottom of the tray, the soil might not absorb very much of it and the top roots will suffer. You would also be risking rotten roots from the sitting water. I have been using rockwool cubes placed in trays and have been pouring nute solution into the tray and letting the plants soak it up. It's worked really well I think. Maybe that's something you should consider for your next garden.
Nicely done till now gnug. from the look of it your too frontrunners are doing way better than mine at the same stage. You should see some nice growth in the next couple of days. But from what ive been told the time to watch out with these autos is week3. The really go through a growth spurt then. (from what ive heard)
Anyways, good luck.
oh and ive got my lights fixed. relief.
