Thanks. Those are the killer pits that I have. They might lick u to death. Putting the cages up tomorrow. Don't want to lose at the hard work when it's so close to being done. I had that problem last year and made sure it wouldn't happen this year.

What are the dimensions of your smart pots. They look about the same size as my 30 gallons.

Sierra Nevada huh? Are you in the 530? That's local stuff. ;)

I was just smoking a bong load with my ladies while they slept. Great minds think alike. :P If you get a chance I'd love to know how wide those 65 gallon pots are. I don't have a ton or room but they don't look like they have a much bigger footprint than mine. Pics can be deciding though.

Right on, thanks. I like to toss a measuring stick in my pics for size reference. But my parents used to have a design business so I have lots of measuring sticks sitting around, lol. I realized that my pots were going to be too small for my plants so I cut the bottom out of the pot of my biggest plant and filled the soil in around it so it can grow into the big hole I dug. Then I buried the pots of my other big plants so the roots can grow through the fabric and give me more root space. Only my 2 smallest plants are staying in the 20 and 30 gallon pots they are in with no holes to expand into. I'm hoping they get at least 8 ft.

I did 12 plants 9 in 30 gal smart pots and the other three were in 15gal. I pulled a little over 15lbs. This year I got 18 ranging from 35-65 gallon smart lots. Shooting for 30lbs this year.

That makes me hopeful for my yield this year. I have 2 in 15 gallons, 2 in 20 gallons, one in a 30 gallon, and one straight in the ground. Most of my containers are buried like I mentioned earlier to allow more root space. I'd be a happy camper to yield anything over an lb per plant. Hopefully more....

How early did you start last year? Or how big were they when you moved them out? Last season I got way too late of a start, thought they wouldn't get that big and planted too close together. It really hurt my yield. I've got things spaced out as much as I can this season and started in feb to get huge starts.
