I just came across an interesting read, although i will warn that it does take a significant time to read. Plan for it to take about an hour..
If wasting an hour on a fictional story isn't for you, then dont read it, but i found it to be a new and interesting perspective to look at life from.
Mind-Blowing Story:
I just want to reiterate, I do not take it seriously, just as an interesting read.
tl;dr I know how you feel..

I've read this before. Excellent story. Well worth reading...
It's by the Ragged Trousered Philosopher.
I love the idea that this Universe was created by a/our God to breed more Gods and merging into Godhead will be like a 50 billion year orgasm we can't yet fathom as humans.

His stories Resurrection and The Eagle has Landed are very interesting aswell.

‘and how many other species are there already out there ahead of us?’
‘surprisingly few. Less than fourteen million’

Ah thank you very much for the original source, i'll be sure to read those other stories soon.
I myself am atheist and have been so since being old enough to make my own decision, but this story does appeal very much to my curious scientific side and i do find the idea extremely interesting.

Wow, I just vaped and read this story, and like you, my mind was blown. I am an atheist, but it was so entertaining. All of the answers from god were perfectly thought out. I couldn't stop reading until I finished. Thanks for posting it!
