I could care less if a gay man or women chooses to marry, what right do I have to say otherwise?

Times are changing, we need to get our heads out of our asses and start worrying about more important shit, like why the fuck mj isn't legal in every state, or the fact that the US is in so much debt they are accepting monopoly money.....

Marriage is fine but adoption is aweful. Children shouldn't be exposed to that. Even showing over dramatic homosexuals om tv shouldn't be allowed.

I don't agree... I think that kind of upbringing would expose them to more open minded ideas.

I'm very good friends with a girl who was born to two lesbian women.

She's straight, an amazing lay and one of the kindest, most giving and most respectable women I know.

I meant homosexual parents. I have nothing against adoption at all, I just believe homosexual couples shouldn't adopt and if they do, I don't mean to offend anyone, but teach them the right way. Until a man and a man or a woman and a woman can naturally concieve a child without any extra medical help, its not right. I have no problem.with homosexuals but the in-your-face gays bother me. Its not normal, I don't mind it, but understand its not natural.

Again I don't mean offense to anyone. I'm just voicing my opinion.

Now that depends on the people.. I would hope, just as I would hope straight parents, don't push any sexual orientation on anyone... but for the child to find their own happiness.

Yes that's exactly what I'm ppushing, It just may have came off a little more offensive to some. As long as they teach the child its the choice they made then its fine.

People act as if marriage is that special. Just let people do whatever the fuck they want. Im sure most of the gay couples will have stronger relationships anyways. They want it so much and love each other so much it probably means more at this point to them then it does to these dumb people who down it. Lets ban people from getting married again after divorce and see how shit goes, i mean its suppose to be special isnt it? Not so special after the first time so sorry bitch we've decided people cant get married more then once.

Guys, gay people can't get married. It's not natural; like meth, or shag carpeting. If gay people get married, then everybody will think it's okay and our population will die out due to a lack of same sex couples. Society will be sent into a vicious cycle since 98%(According to the W.H.O.) of gay people will raise homosexual children, thus feeding this epidemic. So kudos to North Carolina on passing Amendment 1, a baby-step towards saving our dwindling race of breeders.

This is unbelievably ignorant to single out N.C.

We are the 31st state to pass this type of legislation. And honestly I dont care if people want to be gay but I dont believe it should be called the same or treated the same as a marriage between a man and woman.

I belive that marriage is atleast somewhat sacred and is defined as a union between one man and one woman. I dont have a problem with gay people havig a relationship but it is simply not the same. Nothing but a relationship between a man and a woman can produce a new life. So legally and biologically I think marriage is between a man and woman.

I have just stated my opinion and I know its not a popular one.. Or is it? Because after all, N.C. is the thirty. first. That means 30 + 1 to have passed this legislation. I guess it should be pointed out that 31 is a little more than half of 50. Six more to be exact.

So people can say what they want in response to this (here we go...) but its what I believe and no matter how the media would like to portray it, I am not alone.

To all the hateful posters that I have just pissed off:
Please keep your responses relevant and try not to make small personal attacks. It is just shitty debating and goes to show your pitiful capacity to express yourself.

Keep it civil, keep it sane.

Why does it matter if they can conceive a child without any "medical help" or not?

OK well everyone who says its alright I'd like to ask you a serious question. If your child came out gay, would you be OK with it? And I don't mean accept it, I mean on the inside would you really be alright with your son sleeping with another man?

I would absolutely be fine with it.

If I had a son/daughter, I would just hope that they find a good partner who treats them well, regardless of what gender that person is.

I personally would not be okay with it.

But I also dont think this is a valid question because I dont believe that people "come out gay". I just dont believe there is some magical gay gene that some people carry for generations and generations then it all of a sudden pops up.

But I appreciate where youre coming from with this and my answer is no I wouldnt be comfortable

More power to you man. Like I said, personally I don't believe its right. But I can't discriminate, there's a whole load of people that would talk down for me smoking weed. Its my choice, ill do as I please and you do the same. Just inform the children it is not natural if you must marry and adopt.
