I've done all the supporting and senator writing I'm going to do. I feel for some reason that NY will be among the last states to legalize medicinal marijuana. How do you feel?

Actually you're wrong.
I see shit in the paper every few months about them talking about legalizing it.

Whereabouts in NY are you? I haven't heard murmurings since the bill hit the desk down this way.

Plenty of talk being generated on LI. Doing more than my share of putting pressure on local candidates.

Governor Cuomo for some reason has an approval rating near 70%. With that kind of approval from his constituents he has absolutely no pressure on him to push the MMJ issue.
He is tight with Obama and all of the administration's cronies so I don't see MMJ happening under a Cuomo administration.
Plus I seem to remember him comparing MMJ to the legalization of Prostitution. Cuomo was bought and sold a long, long time ago...unfortunately.

wow alot of upstate new yorkers on this thread, im from hilton. i saw this poll and i believe it was 13 WHAM news today that said 55% of New Yorkers are for MMJ and 32% were against it. i guess the other percentage was undecided. i think there needs to be a referendum!
