Would you place ANTI-cannabis activists in the same group as the people who thought the Earth was flat?

No
I would place them in the group 9000 times lower than them, in fact they would be the lowest of low groups.
People thought the earth was flat because it wasn't explored.
Scientific research exists today and people are still anti cannabis.

Nah, they would be down with the satanists and animal rapists.

They're the lowest of the fucking low. They are all either running their mouths as loud as they can about an issue that they are very willfully ignorant on (unforgivable sin). Or they are champions of Oligarchy, lying at every turn for the sake of corporate power and financial gain.

if they profit off the current prohibition, then they should be removed from the populace by any means necessary.
if they're just ignorant, they should be educated until they at least can make an informed decision on the matter (and when you're informed about what cannabis is and can do, it's very hard to be against it.)

I accept that the ignorant ones are simply people who have not had sufficient evidence placed in front of them, but it's the ones who refuse to believe the truth.
Although I am ashamed of it, I was the type of person who thought all drug users/dealers needed to be put to death. I was extremely homophobic too. Of course, I believe neither of any of those now, although I wish drug dealers found another way to make money, but they are simply providing a supply for a demand.
A friend (a muslim, if it's relevant, I find them to be more pig-headed and less open minded) who is strictly anti-cannabis even when I present pure fact in front of him. It's not gone as far as making him watch the Union because I simply don't care that much. But it pains me so much to see people be will-fully ignorant and blatantly ignore the truth in front of their eyes.

They go along with the "pro-life" activists that want to teach how precious life is... by blowing up abortion clinics.

It's funny that this particular Topic has been addressed with this Thread, because earlier today I've been reading / doing various personal research in regards to the woeful ignorance being spouted by anti-marijuana advocates.
Needless to say, it's TRULY disheartening that such a large percentage of the overall population is still in the dark from the early brainwashing they received by government propaganda.
Not to mention, NEARLY all folks whom are against pot have NEVER even tried the stuff. Sorry, (as with anything in life) the ONLY way to be truly knowledgeable about an issue is from first-hand experience... plain and simple.
Without divulging my entire life history, I was born with NUMEROUS health ailments - and have suffered through roughly 100 random surgeries over the 33 years I've been alive. Unfortunately, all these damn doctors nowadays are afraid to treat me properly (regardless of my blatant visible issues) because the DEA is breathing down their neck.
Of course, I'm basically left to fend for myself and have been using Cannabis as an alternative to the expensive, side-effect garbage these pharmaceutical companies get everyone dependent upon.
Argh, it's such a vicious cycle and most days I'd rather not wake-up. Thankfully however, marijuana eases both my physical and psychological symptoms when used responsibly and in moderation.
As a Man of Faith myself, I have ABSOLUTELY no doubt that The Good Lord gave us the cannabis plant for medicinal reasons (among other uses). While I OBVIOUSLY never wish ill will upon anyone, every day I wish all these judgmental a-holes lurking around on this planet could just experience one freakin' day in my shoes - as it would DEFINITELY provide them with an entirely new perspective on life.
Either way, EVERYONE in this world will one day have to experience pain and suffering of some sort, so perhaps when these same IGNORANT individuals get stricken with cancer (or what-have-you), then they'll eventually have a change of heart.
Make no mistake about it folks, as time goes by, or society is going to understand just how archaic and RIDICULOUS marijuana prohibition has been. Hopefully as people become more educated, we can FINALLY abolish these stupid laws and patients can have easier access to this healing herb.

Let them believe what they want to believe, just don't be telling me what I can and can't do in my own house.

Is it me or does ignorance seems relate that most people don't think inward about an issue and have lower intelligence in both sections as to an person that does and is fully knowledgeable. The U.S. doesn't promote curiosity cause they're afraid of people that challenges the system, to change the norm that an average person can't reach to the that higher level of thinking. Most of them talk but not all of them listen, the ones that do listen and observe seem to be the most aware of things.

There must be a day coming soon that cannabis becomes legal. If anything in thr universe is right and logical, it must.
