anybody else drooling over these lineups deciding where to head this summer? sort of a bummer they are on the same weekend:p

AllGood just posted their thursday lineup and it looks like Phil and Bobby are going to be in and out that night before Tramped by Turtles with Shpongle performing as well so thats pretty much everything i would go to see in one night. i know there are other incredible artists performing but i've already seen a lot of them numerous times.

Vibes seems to be where the party is headed after thursday with even MORE dead related performers including Mickey Hart Band and 7 walkers as well as Phil & Friends, Bob Weir/Bruce Hornsby w/ Branford Marsalis AND Dark Star Orchestra.

i guess for me it comes down to whether or not my friends/family will be able to make either/or. my sister wants to see Shpongle but if she's not going i might head up to Vibes lol. i guess another thing to consider is All Good's no overlapping sets. who knows:laughing:

All Good 2012 Lineup: The Allman Brothers Band, Phil Lesh and Friends, The Flaming Lips, Bob Weir and Bruce Hornsby feat. Branford Marsalis, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Lotus*, Big Gigantic, Yonder Mountain String Band, Conspirator, G. Gathering of the Vibes 2012 Lineup: Primus, Phil Lesh and Friends, Bob Weir and Bruce Hornsby (with special guest Branford Marsalis), STS9, The Avett Brothers, Mickey Hart Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, Steel Pulse, Zappa Plays Zappa, 7 Walkers feat. Vibes. I'm going again this year and the lineup is effin' STACKED. Zappa Plays Zappa, STS9, Yonder, Phil Lesh and Friends, Primus AND Soulive and Lettuce? That alone is worth the ticket price, in my opinion... the rest of the lineup is sweet. Kind of upset that they won't be playing as Furthur. I figured they would since Phil's gettin' pretty old.. you would assume they'd want to give a final hoo-rah.. but I'll take them all as seperate acts. More Dead never hurt anyone.

yeaa i'm pretty stoked for the Lettuce late night haha. saw those guys at Bear Creek earlier this year and was blown away:smoke:

looks like friday will be a day off for deadheads at AllGood. thursday seriously kicks off the party so i can only hope for Yonder/Lettuce friday since DSO and Allman Brothers both play saturday and Mickey on sunday.

Don't do Vibes... It absolutely sucks. They really dropped the ball.

AllGood has the lineup of the Summer. There's so much Dead influence there. Do as you like, but I HIGHly suggest AG over Vibes.

the music/venue/crowd was awesome. phil&friends and the allman brothers were definitely the highlights for me along with g love/special sauce and big gigantic.

then there was the RFID wristband system glitching and 'safety' personnel trying to be the police in the campsites:mad:

IMO, the top five shows at All Good were..
1. Lotus
2. Yonder Mountain String Band
3. Allman Brothers Band
4. Shpongle
5. Papadosio

Some comments about Legend Valley and my first All Good:

I thought that the venue itself was really nice, great size with a huge lawn area. Also the trees were a godsend during those hot days. The sound system was great and the stage and light shows were top notch. I heard Phish's light manager was doing the lights for All Good because they are on a month long break.

Some of the bad parts about the festival were the horse cops, crossing the street to get to the venue, the security bracelets, and the worse was how they basically patted you down upon entering the concert area. Granted, the later it got in the day the more lenient they got in the searches.

However, despite the negatives, it was still an unbelievable experience and the music was unforgettable. The moment of the festival for me personally was the cover of "Whipping Post" by YMSB. Let's just say I was really going hard at the time ;) Also, I saw and smoked some of the dankest buds (as I'm sure most people did) in my life during the festival.

Oh and G Love falling off of the stage was pretty damn funny.

i had a good time for the most part, music was great though security was meh and most of the paper i brought back was either weak or outright bunk:confused_2:

phil and friends did tear it up though. jackie on keys was ridiculous and i had a great time in the crowd:smoke:
